My face is peeling; it is so dry that it burns! what do i do?

I used Tazorac Cream. I did as the directions say and used moisturizer before. It says to use once daily for 12 weeks. I used it the first day and things were fine. Then after the second day my face is peeling like CRAZY! it even burns! All day i've had somewhat of a tingly/burning sensation on my face. It hurts to talk/smile/laugh. i tried putting some Almay daily moisturizer on it but it just burns really really bad. And I used to use it before with no problem. I think it is because my skin is just extremely dry. What can I use so that it doesnt burn? What can I do?Thank you for your help!It is greatly appreciated!! I have normal/combination skin. This is not normal for me.
