Continuous Rescue

Is there a video game or computer game lifeguards can buy to practice their rescue skills?
Does anyone know of any such game and where to get it? It would be very helpful to have continuous training for various emergency circumstances on a virtual simulator.
I read an article in the paper on a guy who saved another guy's life by just playing video games, he played a medic in the game. Saw a car accident, and pulled the guy out and treated him for his injuries.
I believe the game is Battlefield 1942 . The article maybe a few months old.
