body butter?

what is the purpose of body butter? i was told that it is like lotion, but ment for realy rough skin like elbows and feet but i tried it on my elbows which are really rough and it didn't make the skin aoft at all. so what is the use of body butter?
along with preventing stretch marks does it also reduce them? if used daily?

i just got body butter a few weeks ago..and it is lik lotion but it makes your skin even softer after you use it for a couple days..and its not as liquid as lotion and drys faster..thats why I like it

You are working hard and sweating it out because you want to build hard muscles. You want to lose all your fats and you're thinking that you have to limit your intake of food while doing your body building exercises; combining body building and diet.

With the right weight training program, and by adopting the proper body building diets into your lifestyle, you will definitely start to see some noticeable results within a couple of months. If you're a burger and coke person, who likes to puff their way through 20 plus cigarettes a day, then you are going to need to take some drastic measures in order to make any visible progress to your physique. Folks who just do weight training and little else are not necessarily fit, they just look like superman!

There is however, such a thing as too much protein. As we age and as other complications occur, the amount of protein that our body needs and can handle everyday changes from person to person. What happens is that along with protein, you also find calories which are actually working against the protein. But you cannot just eat proteins without calories, it becomes a big catch-22.

Most modern muscilar men belive that bodybuilding is an activity that operates according to scientific principles and science is mathematically based. Bodybuilding is not an exact science and it's not healthy to look up to some guru for all your answers. Bodybuilding is the art and the science of developing your body.

It can be difficult to manage the fat even if you strictly follow the diet prescribed by your dietician or Coach. You may be worried about the extra fat in your stomach area due to which your stomach bulges outward a bit. In such a situation, Hgh can be very helpful to you.

Finally adequate roughage or fibre in the diet contributes in many ways like providing satiety in the diet, improving bowel movement and is a good source of vitamins and minerals. Apart from that it helps reduce weight too. Avoid peeling off the skin of fruits and vegtables, eating lot of green leafy vegetables are good sources of dietary fibre.

The worst fats that can be consumed are the saturated fats. Fats at room temperature that stay in solid form such as butter and animal lard are said to be saturated fats. Good fats are also called unsaturated fats. These fats have to be taken in moderate quantities. Unsaturated fats are in liquid form at room temperature.

best skin regime brand?

for oily skin for cleanser, toner and moisturiser? PLEASE choose ONLY from the following:
Clarins, Clinique, The body shop, Avon, Aveda, Bobbi brown, Crabtree & evelyn, Decleor, Dermalogica, Erno laszlo or Estee lauder

Clinique is fantastic.
I have an oily complextion as well, and it works a treat on my skin. They evern have a 3 step system with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. It's not too expensive either. Which always helps
xx*

A moisturizer provides the base for any effective skincare routine, regardless of the type of skin you may have. These creams and lotions rehydrate the complexion by locking in skin's natural moisture.

There are many types of moisturizers on the market today to treat any skin type or specific concerns. However, there is a right and a wrong way to use moisturizers. Learn the most effective way to use this important skincare product.

Choosing a Moisturizer

When you are shopping for a moisturizer, consider these factors:

* Your skin type (dry, oily, normal)

* Your specific needs (acne treatment, anti-aging, etc.)

* Your full regimen (if you don't apply a separate sunscreen, you need to find a moisturizer with an SPF)

* The ingredients in the formula (you want to avoid fragrances and artificial dyes that can irritate sensitive skin)

The best moisturizer for your needs may actually be more than one formula. You may find that the product that works best on your face won't be as effective on the delicate eye area or the rougher patches on your body. Many women choose a different moisturizer for each of these areas to get the best results from their products.

Using a Moisturizer

Apply your moisturizer to damp skin whenever possible. This allows the product to lock in the excess moisture, providing hydration to the skin for a longer period of time. Extra dry areas, such as the hands and feet, may benefit from a rich slathering of moisturizer while still damp, and then a pair of cotton socks or gloves to help the moisturizer absorb into the skin more effectively.

Clayton Shagal

One brand to consider for your moisturizing products is Clayton Shagal. This company understands the importance of hydrated skin in the overall appearance, which is why they combine deep and surface moisturizing ingredients for the most thorough treatment possible. There is a line of Clayton Shagal moisturizing products that are appropriate for any skin type and some work specifically to minimize skin breakouts or treat aging skin.

DDF Skincare

DDF understands that hydrated skin is firmer, younger-looking skin, so the products in the DDF line are designed to heal and protect skin while adding necessary moisture. The Advanced Firming Cream is one of the top products for this purpose. In addition to providing important moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, this formula also includes peptides to boost the skin's own collagen production and a Turmeric complex to protect the skin from further damage.

Dermalogica

Dermalogica provides a wide line of moisturizers to address every need and skin type. The collection includes tinted moisturizer to wear in place of foundation and a number of products with SPF to protect the skin as it hydrates. For those with aging skin, the Dermalogica Power Rich system offers hydrating ingredients in a formula also designed to increase collagen production and firm skin. These products do not contain artificial fragrance or color, so they are safe for even sensitive skin types.

Moisturizer is an important step in any skincare regimen. The right moisturizer will hydrate your skin, leaving it softer, smoother and younger looking.

Soft, smooth, and younger skin is only one moisturizer away. Improve the beauty and glow of your skin by learning more about moisturizers at Dr Skin Spa, where all moisturizers are assessed based upon their scientific ingredients.

Is there anyone who knows what color I should try in Mary Kay -- Any consultants that know this answer? Thanks!

I am assuming you would be bg one but would need more information to help.
MK comes Ivory 1, Ivory 2 Beige 1 Beige 2 so not know the other brand it could be Ivory 2 or Beige 1.
The best thing to do is find a consultant in your area and try the product to see which is the best match for you

A basic definition of a learning content management system implies that the system has authoring application, a data repository, a delivery interface, and administration tools—many of the things you find in a full-featured learning management system. Some LCMSs have collaboration tools, including chat, integrated email and threaded discussion groups. Again, these are all features you can find in a robust learning management system.

In fact, many of the features found in a LCMS have been incorporated in a full-featured LMS. The most salient features of a LCMS are those focused on the development, management and publishing of the content that will typically be delivered via an LMS.

Organizations that truly need a LCMS are ones that have many collaborators in the development of training courses. These collaborators (co-authors) need access to the material under development by other content authors. An LCMS provides developers, authors, instructional designers, and subject matter experts the means to create and re-use learning content and reduce duplicated development efforts.

Several different modules may make up any number of courses. The learning modules residing in the Content Repository (Directories) can be re-purposed into a number of courses that may be assembled by the LMS as courses to be taken in a specific order (pre-requite order) or all modules could be included in one course. Courses themselves may be targeted at different audiences with different job roles.

An LMS and an LCMS complement each other and don't necessarily replace each other. As previously stated, LMSs offer several features traditionally fulfilled by an LCMS.

The important thing here is that you have done a full evaluation of your company's training and certification needs. The evaluation should consist of a needs assessment where you have investigated and hashed out the company's course development strategies to understand what types of tools you need to produce your training. You must understand who is tasked with developing training at your organization and how it is to be constructed. If you have a good understanding of your own processes and what the system needs to do you won't be paying for functionality you don't need.

What Time Of Day To Use Moisturizer?

Is it better to be used first thing in the morning? Then it won't interfere with sun lotion?! Or I use it before going to bed? Then skin won't have a time to breathe! Shouldn't the skin get a time cleaned with nothing on it to be able to breathe?!
And I've really got to use moisturizer cuz I've got such a dry skin...!
Help please!
How much time should it be between using moisturizer&sun lotion?

Ideally, you should be moisturizing your skin twice a day.

In the morning, you need to use a moisturizer that has an SPF of at least 15. Using a sunscreen EVERY SINGLE DAY is the best thing you can do for your skin! You'll prevent a lot of premature aging if you do this.

At night, after cleansing your skin, you should apply a night cream. This is especially important if you have dry skin. Your night cream should be a little thicker than what you would use during the day. You don't have to spend a fortune - just find a cream that works well for you and doesn't make you breakout, if that's a problem for you (it is for me!)

Your skin doesn't really need time to "breathe", although if you use makeup during the day, it's really important to clean that stuff off - never go to bed with makeup on your face! Going barefaced during the day means leaving your skin exposed to the elements - not a good idea for dry skin (especially in the winter). Nighttime is your skin's time to rest and repair itself - it's most receptive to the benefits a good night cream has to offer.

Hope this helps.

Just Because Your Skin is Oily, Doesn't Mean it's Not Sensitive! If you have oily skin you've probably tried many different moisturizers looking for the treatment that keeps the oil at bay but doesn't make your skin feel like a cracked desert. Many expensive products are on the market but several of the most effective contain rather harsh substances like alpha hydroxyl acid (sometimes derived from fruits and sometimes not). But these powerful acids make your skin too sensitive for other types of facial treatments (such as waxing). How Clean is Too Clean - The Paradox of Skin Care Any skin professional will tell you that you must keep your skin cleansed. Then, in the same breath, they will warn you off of too much cleansing especially with harsh soaps or rough cleansers. You have to keep your skin clean otherwise the oil traps dirt and bacteria, creating conditions for potential blackheads and even cystic acne. But too much cleansing can strip all the good oils from your face and create dry flakiness. What's the answer?

Manuka Naturals Skin Creams - Manuka Honey & All Natural Moisturizers With natural skin creams using Manuka Honey your skin gets a double benefit in one product: the anti-microbial effect of certified Manuka Honey, which keeps your skin "clean" without drying soaps; as well as the soothing moisturizing of 100% natural, non-tacky skin creams rich with protein, vitamins and minerals. Now available in the US here's a recent testimonial from a woman with an oily T-zone who is using Active Manuka Honey Cream: I started to use the Manuka cream on my face at night. It's nice and non-oily. I have a very oily T-zone. It's not heavy and my skin looks great in the morning. Smoother and baby-like, plump but not bloated. I used it all up but then found your website to order more. I recommend the cream to my friends and family and now I have a website to refer them to! Melissa T., Santa Clara, CA Three Skin Creams for Three Different Uses Manuka Naturals offers three products with different levels of the most active Manuka Honey (certified at UMF 15+).

You'll find the right product for your needs among these three: Manuka Honey & Lavender Cream with 7.5% Active UMF® 15+ with rich emollients like lavender oil, almond milk and calendula oil makes this an excellent day moisturizer. Manuka Magic contains 10% Active UMF® 15+ and plantain extract, carrot oil, and chickweed extract. Completely scentless, this is a slightly creamier product and is excellent for day or night use. Active Manuka Honey Cream with 30% Active UMF® 15+ also has apricot kernel oil, sesame oil, and rose water in its formulation. All of our creams use wheat-germ derived tocopherol (vitamin E). And Manuka honey is an active antioxidant, absorbing free radicals which cause skin damage. Honey's therapeutic properties have been known for centuries. However, in the last ten years, honey from bees visiting the Manuka bush in New Zealand has been shown to contain an additional, unique antimicrobial component (methylglyoxal) that hastens relief while nourishing and soothing damaged or sensitive skin. About Manuka Naturals Skincare - Manuka Honey Skincare combines UMF15+ Active Manuka Honey with These products nourish and soothe sensitive skin and have been shown effective for burns, rashes, wounds, acne, eczema, shingles and other types of dermatitis and skin inflammations; the FDA has even approved a wound treatment using Manuka Honey. Our products have no fragrance added and are not tested on animals.

And Im on a prescription of Erythromyicn and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel as well as a prescription of Doxycycline right now for my cystic acne. Please dont try to suggest cheaper options. I just want the best products and Im skeptical of drugstore products. i REALLY REALLY dont want any drugstore products. I dont really feel happy buying them. So which of these 2 moisturizers should I get? Money isn't a problem. Trust me. It isn't.

What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?

I am using Mary Kay foundation right now and my doctor told me that that can often cause the skin to break-out if you have oily skin. What is the best foundation to use? I already have Bare Minerals powder, which is really good on the skin. But is there any liquid foundations?

Really, the best thing to use is the mineral make-up. Liquid make-up contains chemicals and preservatives which are irritating to the skin, and even ones labeled as non-comedogenic (non-clogging) clog the pores to some degree which can cause break-outs.

Blot powder - This is a wonderful product that I carry around with me every day in my purse. It comes in a compact with a powder puff, similar to sheer powder. Instead of touching up with more makeup or sheer powder, I use blot powder. It's translucent, so I can get rid of the oiliness without caking more makeup onto my face.

Oily skin can occur at different stages in your life; adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause. Hormones can play a role in oily skin. Oily skin is characterized by large pores, dullness, a grease-like appearance, and roughness. The sebaceous gland produces excess oil thus giving the skin the shine associated with oily skin.

The airbrush technology pumps air into a specially formulated liquid foundation that is sprayed on to your skin in smooth layers that are as light as air, covering problem spots while leaving your skin room to breathe. One of the key reasons it provides the best makeup for oily skin is the application technique.

On the face, the indicator of a greasy skin type is the T-zone. The forehead, nose and chin will often begin to shine after makeup application. Most women with shiny skin choose matte finish foundations as it is touted as the best solution for greasy skin among conventional makeup. If we look outside the conventional makeup box then the real best foundation for oily skin is to be found in airbrush technology.

If you have oily skin, you know that it can be difficult to find oily skin foundations that will stay in place and look good without making your skin even oilier. Unfortunately, you probably also have other problems like enlarged pores and too much shine. You may have also have found that your makeup gets darker as the day goes by.

Now the thing to realize here is that blemishes are caused by too much oil in the skin. Oil produced inside the hair follicles, called sebum, normally moves along the hair to the outside of the skin pore. But sometimes, the movement of sebum oil is blogged by other dried sebum, dirt, etc. The blockage causes the sebum to mix with dead skin cells, bacteria, and dirt. The result is a blackhead.

Preventing breakouts on oily skin can be possible by following a few oily skin care tips. First, washing your face at least twice a day can help to prevent breakouts by preventing pores from getting clogged. Pay close attention to only wash a few times a day because excess washing may only deplete the skin of natural oils that your skin products.

Though oily skin does not necessarily mean dirty skin, the extra oil can aid in trapping extra unwanted particles close to your skin, as well as dead skin cells that normally should just fall off. These trapped components can lead to clogged pores which in turn mean acne and blackheads for you. Therefore you should keep your skin clean by washing it a certain amount every day.

On the flip side and a bonus for oily skin types is that people with this type of skin tend to show fewer wrinkles and other signs of aging on their face since oily skin keep its elasticity throughout the years. You may think you're lucky stars when you're 65 years young!

has anyone used "Neutrogena Healthy Skin™ Visibly Even™ Foaming Cleanser"?

Im plannin on using it and i would really like to know if this product works(or should i say worked for U)

yes. i love it! the foaming cleanser is very nice!

Metabolism. There isn't perhaps a more frequently used word in the weight loss (and weight gain) vocabulary than this. Indeed, it's not uncommon to overhear people talking about their struggles – or triumphs – over the holiday bulge or love handles in terms of whether their metabolism is working or not.

Doctors, too, often refer to metabolism when they try and explain why starvation and water-loss diets aren't scientifically or medically responsible; since, alas, they do not influence or take into account metabolism (there's that word again!)

So, for all of the usage that this rather daunting and biologically charged word enjoys in our world, you'd comfortably assume that people understand it, right? Or, at least, they have some fundamental information when it comes to how to speed up their metabolism, right?

Wrong!

Towards Understanding Metabolism

Regrettably, many people simply don't understand the concept of metabolism and metabolic change. This, equally as regrettably, is hardly their fault. There is so much information floating around out there, much of it "over the net" or through a "friend of a friend who has a personal trainer," that there are bound to be some confusion and conflicting messages.

Furthermore, many people (quite understandably) mistake their own weight gain and loss episodes as a matter of metabolic change. Sometimes this is true, and sometimes it isn't. For example, there are scientific ways to increase the rate of metabolic change, and thus enable the body to burn more calories. Eating certain foods more frequently is one way to do this.

Yet another way to visibly lose weight – at least on a perceived, temporary level – is to sit in a steam room for a few hours. Whereas the former method (eating the right foods) is a real, proven weight loss method through increased metabolic change, the latter method (the steam room) is just temporary because the lost weight is merely water, and will return as swiftly as it "melted away."

The point to remember here is that some people mistake their own weight loss attempts as being related to metabolic change; and, as you can see with the steam room example, that isn't always the case.

What is Metabolism? Some people think that the metabolism is a kind of organ, or a body part, that influences digestion. Actually, metabolism isn't any particular body part. It's the process by which the body converts food into energy.

Hence, you've likely heard of the phrase metabolic process used synonymously with the term metabolism, because they both mean the same thing. Yet without drilling deeply into medical details -- which are not relevant for our general understanding purposes -- it's helpful to briefly look at the biological mechanisms behind metabolism.

Metabolism, as mentioned above, is the process of transforming food (e.g. nutrients) into fuel (e.g. energy.) The body uses this energy to conduct a vast array of essential functions. In fact, your ability to read this page – literally – is driven by your metabolism.

If you had no metabolism – that is, if you had no metabolic process that was converting food into energy – then you wouldn't be able to move. In fact, long before you realized that you couldn't move a finger or lift your foot, your internal processes would have stopped; because the basic building blocks of life – circulating blood, transforming oxygen into carbon dioxide, expelling potentially lethal wastes through the kidneys and so on – all of these depend on metabolism.

Keep this in mind the next time you hear someone say that they have a slow metabolism. While they may struggle with unwanted weight gain due to metabolic factors, they certainly have a functioning metabolism. If they didn't, they wouldn't even be able to speak (because that, too, requires energy that comes from, you guessed it: metabolism!)

It's also interesting to note that, while we conveniently refer to the metabolic process as if it were a single function, it's really a catch-all term for countless functions that are taking place inside the body. Every second of every minute of every day of your life – even, of course, when you sleep – numerous chemical conversions are taking place through metabolism, or metabolic functioning.

In a certain light, the metabolism has been referred to as a harmonizing process that manages to achieve two critical bodily functions that, in a sense, seem to be at odds with each other.
