best skin regime brand?

for oily skin for cleanser, toner and moisturiser? PLEASE choose ONLY from the following:
Clarins, Clinique, The body shop, Avon, Aveda, Bobbi brown, Crabtree & evelyn, Decleor, Dermalogica, Erno laszlo or Estee lauder

Clinique is fantastic.
I have an oily complextion as well, and it works a treat on my skin. They evern have a 3 step system with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. It's not too expensive either. Which always helps
xx*

A moisturizer provides the base for any effective skincare routine, regardless of the type of skin you may have. These creams and lotions rehydrate the complexion by locking in skin's natural moisture.

There are many types of moisturizers on the market today to treat any skin type or specific concerns. However, there is a right and a wrong way to use moisturizers. Learn the most effective way to use this important skincare product.

Choosing a Moisturizer

When you are shopping for a moisturizer, consider these factors:

* Your skin type (dry, oily, normal)

* Your specific needs (acne treatment, anti-aging, etc.)

* Your full regimen (if you don't apply a separate sunscreen, you need to find a moisturizer with an SPF)

* The ingredients in the formula (you want to avoid fragrances and artificial dyes that can irritate sensitive skin)

The best moisturizer for your needs may actually be more than one formula. You may find that the product that works best on your face won't be as effective on the delicate eye area or the rougher patches on your body. Many women choose a different moisturizer for each of these areas to get the best results from their products.

Using a Moisturizer

Apply your moisturizer to damp skin whenever possible. This allows the product to lock in the excess moisture, providing hydration to the skin for a longer period of time. Extra dry areas, such as the hands and feet, may benefit from a rich slathering of moisturizer while still damp, and then a pair of cotton socks or gloves to help the moisturizer absorb into the skin more effectively.

Clayton Shagal

One brand to consider for your moisturizing products is Clayton Shagal. This company understands the importance of hydrated skin in the overall appearance, which is why they combine deep and surface moisturizing ingredients for the most thorough treatment possible. There is a line of Clayton Shagal moisturizing products that are appropriate for any skin type and some work specifically to minimize skin breakouts or treat aging skin.

DDF Skincare

DDF understands that hydrated skin is firmer, younger-looking skin, so the products in the DDF line are designed to heal and protect skin while adding necessary moisture. The Advanced Firming Cream is one of the top products for this purpose. In addition to providing important moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, this formula also includes peptides to boost the skin's own collagen production and a Turmeric complex to protect the skin from further damage.

Dermalogica

Dermalogica provides a wide line of moisturizers to address every need and skin type. The collection includes tinted moisturizer to wear in place of foundation and a number of products with SPF to protect the skin as it hydrates. For those with aging skin, the Dermalogica Power Rich system offers hydrating ingredients in a formula also designed to increase collagen production and firm skin. These products do not contain artificial fragrance or color, so they are safe for even sensitive skin types.

Moisturizer is an important step in any skincare regimen. The right moisturizer will hydrate your skin, leaving it softer, smoother and younger looking.

Dermalogica is globally respected as a brand that is synonymous with a comprehensive range of premium quality skincare products. These products are all developed using natural products and they suffice for use on all types of skin. Three of the most vital routines that we need to perform so as to maintain optimal skin health are cleansing, smoothing and moisturizing. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, Dermalogica Skin Smoothing and Dermalogica Active Moist are three products that are available to enable you to optimally take care of these three regimens.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is what you need for that all so important cleansing routine that must be done on a daily basis to ensure that the skin remains consistently smooth and bright. It is common knowledge that the skin has to contend with the deposit of various impurities on its surface everyday and it is these that trigger a sequence of activities that eventually result in your skin looking dull and feeling uneven. With the help of Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel you will be able to do away with these impurities and because the gel is soap free your natural skin balance will remain unaffected. This product contains Quillaja Saponaria and it is this ingredient that produces the foam which eradicates the accumulated debris and toxins. On using Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel your skin will feel pleasantly soothed; the lavender and balm mint extracts in the formulation are responsible for this. There are no artificial colours or fragrances in this preparation.

After cleansing your skin you will need to moisten it so that it won't dry off excessively and end up looking worn and haggard. The perfect product to help you hydrate the skin must be oil free and light weight such that it can be easily applied and absorbed. Dermalogica Active Moist fits this description perfectly and it is perfect for normal to oily skin. The fact that this moisturizer is wholly absorbed without trace is a great advantage ideally because moisture loss is prevented by an inconspicuous invisible barrier.

Dermalogica Active Moist obtains its hydrating and calming properties from a combination of ingredients including extracts of Sage, Cucumber and Burdock, and silk proteins. It is best applied over a dampened face and throat using gentle upward motions. For daily protection against the sun you can mix Dermalogica Active Moist with Solar Defense Booster SPF30.

On several occasions you will notice that your skin feels dehydrated and tired and will as such display fine lines and wrinkles. These are the telltale signs of skin that needs to be smoothened, tightened and nourished, and it is a job that can be handled perfectly well with the use of Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream. Perfect for use on normal to dry skin, Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream features Hyaluronic Acid, antioxidant grape seed, nourishing vitamins and replenishing essential oils as its ingredients. Like the aforementioned moisturizer its application requires a damp face and neck and the use of gentle upward strokes. You can also mix Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream with Dermalogica Solar Defense Booster SPF30 for effective protection against the sun.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, Dermalogica Skin Smoothing and Dermalogica Active Moist are just three of the many skincare products that you can purchase from the Norwich Health Shop. Just to be sure on what you need, you can use the free advice offered by the Dermalogica salon professional skin consultation service.

What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?

I am using Mary Kay foundation right now and my doctor told me that that can often cause the skin to break-out if you have oily skin. What is the best foundation to use? I already have Bare Minerals powder, which is really good on the skin. But is there any liquid foundations?

Really, the best thing to use is the mineral make-up. Liquid make-up contains chemicals and preservatives which are irritating to the skin, and even ones labeled as non-comedogenic (non-clogging) clog the pores to some degree which can cause break-outs.

Blot powder - This is a wonderful product that I carry around with me every day in my purse. It comes in a compact with a powder puff, similar to sheer powder. Instead of touching up with more makeup or sheer powder, I use blot powder. It's translucent, so I can get rid of the oiliness without caking more makeup onto my face.

Oily skin can occur at different stages in your life; adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause. Hormones can play a role in oily skin. Oily skin is characterized by large pores, dullness, a grease-like appearance, and roughness. The sebaceous gland produces excess oil thus giving the skin the shine associated with oily skin.

The airbrush technology pumps air into a specially formulated liquid foundation that is sprayed on to your skin in smooth layers that are as light as air, covering problem spots while leaving your skin room to breathe. One of the key reasons it provides the best makeup for oily skin is the application technique.

On the face, the indicator of a greasy skin type is the T-zone. The forehead, nose and chin will often begin to shine after makeup application. Most women with shiny skin choose matte finish foundations as it is touted as the best solution for greasy skin among conventional makeup. If we look outside the conventional makeup box then the real best foundation for oily skin is to be found in airbrush technology.

If you have oily skin, you know that it can be difficult to find oily skin foundations that will stay in place and look good without making your skin even oilier. Unfortunately, you probably also have other problems like enlarged pores and too much shine. You may have also have found that your makeup gets darker as the day goes by.

Now the thing to realize here is that blemishes are caused by too much oil in the skin. Oil produced inside the hair follicles, called sebum, normally moves along the hair to the outside of the skin pore. But sometimes, the movement of sebum oil is blogged by other dried sebum, dirt, etc. The blockage causes the sebum to mix with dead skin cells, bacteria, and dirt. The result is a blackhead.

Preventing breakouts on oily skin can be possible by following a few oily skin care tips. First, washing your face at least twice a day can help to prevent breakouts by preventing pores from getting clogged. Pay close attention to only wash a few times a day because excess washing may only deplete the skin of natural oils that your skin products.

Though oily skin does not necessarily mean dirty skin, the extra oil can aid in trapping extra unwanted particles close to your skin, as well as dead skin cells that normally should just fall off. These trapped components can lead to clogged pores which in turn mean acne and blackheads for you. Therefore you should keep your skin clean by washing it a certain amount every day.

On the flip side and a bonus for oily skin types is that people with this type of skin tend to show fewer wrinkles and other signs of aging on their face since oily skin keep its elasticity throughout the years. You may think you're lucky stars when you're 65 years young!

What is a fast way to stop pimples that work for all skin types?

I have a lot of pimples mostly on my forehead. I really want to know a fast way to make them go away.

drink alot of water.

wash your face twice a day.

use oil free moisturizer after washing your face.

make sure your face towels are clean.

There are different essential skin types: normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive. Before buying your makeup, toiletries and other cosmetic products for skin care, do make sure that it goes well with your skin type.

This skin type reacts externally and internally to changes in life. It can be both dry and oil. It tends to go blemished and have broken veins at the same time; it might show a blushing or reddened look or might even scratch. You might require checkup with a Dermatologist in critical cases, in other cases proper care and awareness can help you to endure with this kind of skin type.

Normal skin is usually silky smooth in texture, has tiny pores, and a glowing appearance. The oil glands produce sebum at a regular rate which leaves the skin well balanced. Normal skin will have an even tone and a translucent glow. To maintain this ideal and keep it even and toned, a good skin care routine including cleansing, toning, and moisturizing is a must.

When the oil glands do not produce enough sebum to keep the skin lubricated, this results in dry skin. This skin type often feels dry and itchy. Dry skin can also be sensitive. You may see dry flakes on your cheeks, chin and forehead. Fine lines may be present around your eye and lip areas. Mature skin often falls in this category. Dry skin is also more prevalent in drier climates and during the winter season. Dry skin should be hydrated on a regular basis using weekly moisturizing masques and daily hydrating toniques and serums. Rich hydrating moisturizers should also be used regularly.

There are some basic questions you can ask yourself to help you get started. First, how often do you break out? Do yu have blackheads? What do your pores look like? After washing with soap, how does your skin look and feel? Do you have facial lines? By asking yourself these questions, you can determine what types of products will work best for you and how your skin might react to them.

There are three basic skin types, but this does not mean your skin can't be a combination of them. They are oilly, normal, or dry. You could have any one of these skin types, or a combination of them, such as normal to oily, or normal to dry. There are different products for caring for each.

I NEED to lose 10lbs! PLEASE HELP*?

I'm a 12 year old girl. I weigh about 95lbs, and I'm 5'2. I obviously know i'm not fat. But i want to be super skinny. i hate my body. every time i look in the mirror i hate myself. sometimes i even say i want to become anorexic! This is my sched. for my food...

Breakfast: Either, Special K cereal with a banana and with skim milk. Or honey nut Cheerios with a banana and skim milk. Rarely oatmeal; i don't care for it.

Lunch: 80cal yogurt, water, a nutri gran bar, and sometimes grapes. But on weekends, I eat special k cereal with a banana.

Dinner: Special k cereal or honey nut cheerios with a banana

but i also run cross-country after school. And im still not losing weight?!? what the hell!

*by the way, I know im barley getting any protein! And im feeling very weak and exhausted... what can i do to make me feel more hyped and with much more energy? cause i run cross-country and im very weak, weaker then ive ever been!

thank you all! please help!

What's the question here? Are you asking if it's healthy, becuase I think you already know it isn't. If you're asking why your not losing weight it's cos below 1200 calories your body goes into starvation mode and clings to all your fat so you don't lose weight.
By the way, Special K isn't good for you. Too much sugar and salt.

Copyright 2006 Donovan Baldwin

A week or so ago, I was in the check-out line at the supermarket and saw a blurb on the cover of a magazine. The headline read: "Breakthrough! FAT LOSS VITAMIN!", and the text beneath it said, "95% of us don't get enough. Safely boost your intake and:

*Lose 5 lbs a week!

*Burn 30% more fat every day!

The magazine was Woman's World.

Being in the business of health, fitness, diet and weight loss, this claim intrigued me so I threw a copy of the magazine in the buggy, and read the article when I got home.

Very briefly, here's what the article had to say: Most people don't get enough Vitamin C, and Vitamin C can help your body burn more fat.

Now, this was interesting, and since I believe most people don't get the nutrients they need, I was willing to go along with the idea of increasing your normal intake of Vitamin C, either by increasing the amount of things such as orange juice, which is good for you anyway and it contains a lot of Vitamin C, or by use of Vitamin C supplements.

The information in the article made sense, and, when I did a little independent online investigation, I found that apparently the article was reasonably accurate. I don't have a particular problem with the information in this article, and agree that increasing Vitamin C could help someone lose weight.

This brings us to the slightly exaggerated title of this article.

Everyday, it seems we are bombarded with all these claims about weight loss, fat loss, diets and health. One person says their pill will deal with cortisol, which is the cause of weight gain. Another says their diet will "melt" the fat. Someone else wants to hypnotize you, and that will do the trick. The covers of many other magazines at the checkout on the day I bought my magazine had different tips, hints, diets, and weight loss solutions.

All these people can't be telling the truth, can they?

Is weight gain the result of cortisol, poor diet, lack of exercise, not enough Vitamin C, lack of sleep, stress, too much beer, or just bad genes?

Actually, the answer to both questions is, "Yes...sort of..."

The actual biological process by which people get fat is known. The solution is also known, and it doesn't have much to do with Vitamin C, cortisol, genes, or a lot of other things...directly.

A runner who wishes to run faster gets there by training at running and trying to run faster. However, that runner can also strengthen his or her legs by using weight training. They can improve their performance, or perhaps reach their goal faster, by eating a certain type of diet...maybe even making changes in that diet at different points of their training or competition schedule. If stress is inhibiting their performance, learning to meditate might help them put that stress behind them or at least relieve it enough so that their times improve. If their home life or work schedule is such that it interferes with their training, rest, or nutrition schedules, then making a change in those areas may improve their athletic performance.

Even so, the main thing in their running training is...running! Everything else just helps with the speed of development or the amount of progress that is ultimately made.

The same thing applies to most weight loss situations and so-called solutions. Increasing physical activity and eating reasonably are the two major things that bring about healthy, permanent weight loss. If, in your exercise program, you choose to supplement with Vitamin C, or get more sleep, or take something which reduces the effects of cortisol, or quit your job because it interferes with your weight loss program, then you will probably enhance the results. You will lose more weight over time, lose the weight a bit faster, or just find the whole process easier. However, the major portion of the weight loss (and improved health and enjoyment of life), comes from the basics of exercise and nutrition.

So what about the people who DID lose weight by breathing properly, or taking Vitamin C, or adding Chocolate to their diet?

People are all different, and so are the facts and factors of their lifestyles, education, upbringing, and genetic makeup. Someone who is one dress size bigger than she wants to be may get all the weight loss she needs from increasing HER Vitamin C intake. That does NOT mean that every woman will experience the SAME results. Another woman may need to lose a lot more than one dress size, and taking Vitamin C, while it might help her shed a few pounds and be more healthy overall, will probably NOT produce anywhere near the total results she hopes to achieve. If, however, she IS doing the right things to bring about weight loss, adding the Vitamin C may speed the process a bit and help get her to her goal a little faster,

Just as in the title of this article, the key word in all these claims is "help" whether it is stated or merely implied. True healthy, permanent weight loss will be the result of a combination of activity and nutrition. All the other things, which may certainly be of value, are just helping.

what are the natural effective skin whitening cream that equals to hydroquinone?

do anyone had experienced effectiveness in skin lightening with natural ingredients...any website?or any names of creams?

Please do not try using cream with hydroquinone because your face will turn dark and it will lead to melasma.. Always use a cream that they have the expensive ingredients because thats very effective like the authentic diana stalder products in a nice packaging and not the one with just plain label.. If you want to check the authentic diana stalder and read the customers testimonials.. check it here

Vitligo is a skin disorder which takes place when melanocytes, the cells that make pigment, stops functioning. White patches start appearing on the skin as a result of this dysfunction. On dark skinned people vitiligo is more prominent. It gives a patchy look to the skin and people suffering from this disorder feel embarrassed to go out in public. Monobenzone is a cream that is used to treat vitiligo by depigmantation.

Two to four million people in America is suffering from vitiligo. Between the age of ten to thirty, there are more chances of people to get vitiligo. Maximum people can get vitiligo till the age of forty. It is not limited to any gender or race. All over the world, all types of people, both men and women, can develop vitiligo. Vitiligo could be hereditary. It may run in the family. It is also seen that premature graying of hair may increase the chances of getting vitiligo. Autoimmune diseases like autoimmune thyroid are another cause of developing vitiligo. This problem can progress at a faster rate on some people and then stop for a long period of time. On others it may develop slowly.

For a long time people have been preoccupied with the problem of repigmentation of skin which have been discolored by vitiligo. They try out different methods. Sometimes these are difficult to be successful due to extensive damage of the skin by depigmentation. In such cases the doctors prescribe total depigmentation to match the skin tone of the discolored area. Monobenzone cream is one such medicine which is used for whitening of the skin. It permanently whitens the skin around the area discolored by vitiligo. It should be kept for using only on vitiligo and should not be used on other skin ailments like freckles or age spots.

The most widely used commercial product of Monobenzone is Benoquin which has 20% of Monobenzone. Normal people with dark skin may feel like using Monobenzone to lighten their skin color but it could be dangerous and they may end up with white streaks all over their body. It only works well on people who have vitiligo.

Monobenzone should always be used only after consulting with doctors. The area around the vitligo affected skin would be dark. Monobenzone should be applied to that area in a thin and uniform layer. This would lead to lightening of the skin and it would match the skin color with the parts affected by vitiligo. One side effect of Monobenzone is that the skin will become sensitive to sunlight permanently. You would need to cover up sufficiently or use sunscreen lotion to be out in the sun.

Generally it takes four months or so for the medicine to show results. Once the skin acquires the desired color the medication can be discontinued till more white patches appear. Side affects like dry skin, peeling of skin, irritation, and redness may occur due to medication. Some serious side effects like rash, swelling, or discoloration of skin where medicine has not been applied should be brought to the doctor's notice immediately.

For vitiligo if you want to depigment your skin order Monobenzone Benoquin online from sites offering this product. It is generally sold with prescription. But online the sites will give you a cosmetic variety of the medicine.

Oval diamond engagement rings are a good-looking choice for couples involved in a classic engagement ring design with together vintage and modern plea.

The oval may seem like an in fact antique option, but in reality, it is a comparatively new diamond shape, only honed in the 1960s by Lazare Kaplan. In the present day, oval shapes are once again growing in reputation and can be established in dissimilar ring styles and designs to ensemble any couple's fondness.

An oval diamond has 56 facets; somewhat less than the round brilliant diamond shape, which makes it somewhat less glittery. for the reason that of the lengthened shape, oval diamonds can have a bow-tie shade result in their center reflections, although a well cut oval diamond will have only a little, hardly understandable shade. The usual length-to-width ratio for a totally balanced oval is between 1.3 and 1.6, although the precise shape of the gem is mainly strong-minded by individual favorite – some couples have a preference for a lengthier oval, while others desire a diamond with a thicker look.

Extraordinary east-west settings that site the diamond sideways all along the ring's band.

Cluster settings that enclose the oval stone with accents, comparable to Princess Diana's engagement ring. Non-faceted oval stones like opals, turquoise, plus additional remarkable gemstones. Split shank diamond rings that assist equilibrium the longer stone shape. Coarse-textured engagement ring mountings that swirl the rings band about the center stone to put emphasis on its remarkable shape.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REVLON COLORSTAY FOR DRY SKIN/NORMAL SKIN ANDTHE ONE FOR OILY/COMBINATION SKIN?

I have oily skin and revlon colorstay foundation for normal/dry skin didnt help. I have just discovered the one for oily/combination skin.Is it really better for oily skin or are they just trying to sell their foundation to different skin types?

the dry skin one is for dry skin. the oily one is for oily skin. it is usually better to use the dry skin one, because it can adapt to your actual skin conditions. the oily one is for people who have very oily skin, because it can reduce the amount of oil on your skin.

The drying of clothes has been a great problem for a long time. One had to hang the clothes out in the sun to dry. The reality is that the sun does not shine for 365 days in a year and clothes would end up not drying for many days. This was a great problem especially during winter. The advent of dryers solved this problem because they provide a more convenient way to dry your clothes. Dryers are available in the market in an assortment of designs and capabilities. It is a regular appliance in the household laundry and services.

A long time ago, many people used to wash their clothing on a regular basis, and the clothes would take almost a whole day to dry. The dryers have made it possible to change the drying of clothes from taking a whole day to a few hours or minutes. You can then use the time saved from washing and drying the clothes for other productive activities.

The dryers are available in the market and you can either choose the spin dyers or tumble dryers. They have been incorporated for drying clothes in both the home and the laundry industry.

Spin dyers are much better than tumble dryers. When it comes to electricity consumption, they are known to be among the highest consumers of power in the household. A tumble dryer uses heat to dry the clothes unlike the spin dryer that rotates the clothes at a high speed and because of centrifugal force most of the water is removed from the clothes and it will take less time to dry them. A normal tumble dryer uses about 2400 watts compared to a spin dyer that uses just 400 watts of power. This is because the tumble dryer needs a lot of power to heat it up inside while the spin dryer does not use that much power for its small motor.
The tumble dyer is, however, a faster way of drying the clothes than the spin dryer. Depending on the type of tumble dryer, it is possible to have the clothes dry within minutes. To save the electricity cost by a tumble dryer you can spin-dry the clothes prior to tumble-drying. By spin drying the clothes for five minutes could reduce the time taken to dry the clothes by an hour. In one hour, a tumble dryer consumes about 2.4 kWh of electricity while the spin dryer uses 0.03 kWh for five minutes. Therefore you can achieve saving1.2 kWh of electricity per load. You are also able to reduce the carbon emissions by having the tumble dryer on for a short period.

A spin dryer is more efficient than a tumble dryer because it can pay for itself within its operational lifetime with savings on electricity. When selecting the type of spin dryer to look for consider the rotational speed, which ranges from 2500 to 3300 rotations per minute. The greater the speed of the spin dryer the more efficient it is.
