Has anyone used Clean & Clear advantage cleanser?

I have moderate acne. For a long while I was using Dermalogica skin clearing wash, but it stopped working. So I switched to Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit oil-free acne wash, and it's not doing anything either. Today I was perusing the acne meds at wal-mart and decided to give clean & clear a try. I bought the advantage cleanser...HAS ANYONE USED IT AND DOES IT ACTUALLY WORK? IF NOT, DO YOU KNOW OF A CLEANSER THAT ACTUALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE?

I used it it really works try it since it reduces the spot size and redness you will notice the difference

Choosing the right products to put on your skin, hair or body is a vital part of anyone's beauty regime – but how do you go about getting it right?

One good principle is not to put anything on your face that you wouldn't be happy to eat, since your skin absorbs everything you slap on it. Secondly, the main ingredient of any skin care product should be water. Look for natural, botanically based ingredients, not chemicals.

It's a good idea to avoid skin care brands which contain mineral oil, petroleum, solvent alcohol in the form of propyl, isopropyl or SD, acetone or artificial colours or scents, since these can trigger conditions like dermatitis, as well as aggravating allergies.

Equally, the various items in a skin care line are meant to enhance each other and work together syngergistically. You should therefore be prepared to use all the skin care products in a particular line, such as cleanser, toner, moisturiser and so on.

Finally, try and go for those products which come with a complete guarantee that you will get your money back if it's not right for you. Keep trying different lines until you find one you love, and that suits your skin type to perfection. Once you have found products that work for you, use them all the time to have the skin that will make you feel and look your best.

Salon Skincare products has a wide range of gorgeous branded natural products for hair, face, body and nails. Delivery is free or low cost, and there are priority and next business day delivery options. The company also offers seriously secure shopping and has a robust returns policy. Read their website today to learn more about their products, and to read customer reviews and comments.

Sally Beauty Supply it has EVERYTHING! (they sell it online as well)

What is not to like about honey! It is great on toast, in tea, and offers so many benefits when used in skin care products.

Honey is not anything new; it has been around for thousands of years! Honey has been and still is used in food products and in medicine. Honey is now emerging into the cosmetics industry which is really not new either. Honey has been used by women in the early days of the Roman Empire as facial masks, honey and milk baths, etc.

Honey is comprised of 98% sugar and 2% enzymes, vitamins and minerals. These vitamins and minerals would include vitamin C, a variety of B vitamins such as niacin, riboflavin, and pantothenic acid, and the mineral potassium. It is also rich in amino acids. This combination of natural ingredients offers a multitude of benefits when used in skin care products.

Properties of Honey:

Natural humectants - which makes it a superb moisturizing ingredient. Honey has the ability to bind moisture to the skin to help it stay hydrated. Additionally, it will smooth out rough, dry and wrinkled skin.

A natural antioxidant - which fights off free radical damage. Antioxidants are used in skin care products to fight free radicals and reverse the signs of aging.

Ant-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties - Honey also possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. These properties are beneficial for those with problems skin such as mild acne. Research has shown honey has shown to manage acne by attacking the bacteria which is causing the outbreaks. Because of its potent antibacterial properties, hospitals in Asia and Europe have used honey infused bandages to help heal infected wounds successfully

Below are some simple skin care recipes to enjoy the many benefits of honey. Although honey tends to be well tolerated by most skin types, a patch test is always recommended.

Easy Cleansing Scrub
Mix honey with ground almonds and scrub on face. Note: if allergic to nuts this would not be recommended. Try cornmeal instead.

Purifying Scrub

Mix 1 tbsp. of honey with 2 tbsp. finely ground almonds and 1/2 tsp. lemon juice. Massage gently onto face and rinse well with warm water. Follow with toner

Firming Facial mask
Whisk a tablespoon of honey together with an egg white, 1 teaspoon of glycerin and about 1/4 cup of flour. Smooth on the face, leave on 15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.

Moisturizing pack
Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 teaspoons of whole milk, smooth over the face and throat, and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, and finish by splashing with cold water.

Moisturizing lotion
for dry patches such as elbows, mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, then apply. Wash off after 15 minutes.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REVLON COLORSTAY FOR DRY SKIN/NORMAL SKIN ANDTHE ONE FOR OILY/COMBINATION SKIN?

I have oily skin and revlon colorstay foundation for normal/dry skin didnt help. I have just discovered the one for oily/combination skin.Is it really better for oily skin or are they just trying to sell their foundation to different skin types?

the dry skin one is for dry skin. the oily one is for oily skin. it is usually better to use the dry skin one, because it can adapt to your actual skin conditions. the oily one is for people who have very oily skin, because it can reduce the amount of oil on your skin.

The drying of clothes has been a great problem for a long time. One had to hang the clothes out in the sun to dry. The reality is that the sun does not shine for 365 days in a year and clothes would end up not drying for many days. This was a great problem especially during winter. The advent of dryers solved this problem because they provide a more convenient way to dry your clothes. Dryers are available in the market in an assortment of designs and capabilities. It is a regular appliance in the household laundry and services.

A long time ago, many people used to wash their clothing on a regular basis, and the clothes would take almost a whole day to dry. The dryers have made it possible to change the drying of clothes from taking a whole day to a few hours or minutes. You can then use the time saved from washing and drying the clothes for other productive activities.

The dryers are available in the market and you can either choose the spin dyers or tumble dryers. They have been incorporated for drying clothes in both the home and the laundry industry.

Spin dyers are much better than tumble dryers. When it comes to electricity consumption, they are known to be among the highest consumers of power in the household. A tumble dryer uses heat to dry the clothes unlike the spin dryer that rotates the clothes at a high speed and because of centrifugal force most of the water is removed from the clothes and it will take less time to dry them. A normal tumble dryer uses about 2400 watts compared to a spin dyer that uses just 400 watts of power. This is because the tumble dryer needs a lot of power to heat it up inside while the spin dryer does not use that much power for its small motor.
The tumble dyer is, however, a faster way of drying the clothes than the spin dryer. Depending on the type of tumble dryer, it is possible to have the clothes dry within minutes. To save the electricity cost by a tumble dryer you can spin-dry the clothes prior to tumble-drying. By spin drying the clothes for five minutes could reduce the time taken to dry the clothes by an hour. In one hour, a tumble dryer consumes about 2.4 kWh of electricity while the spin dryer uses 0.03 kWh for five minutes. Therefore you can achieve saving1.2 kWh of electricity per load. You are also able to reduce the carbon emissions by having the tumble dryer on for a short period.

A spin dryer is more efficient than a tumble dryer because it can pay for itself within its operational lifetime with savings on electricity. When selecting the type of spin dryer to look for consider the rotational speed, which ranges from 2500 to 3300 rotations per minute. The greater the speed of the spin dryer the more efficient it is.

What are some natural products for baby care? like lotions, shampoo, body wash, oil?

My friend is interested in natural ways and all I know so far is olive oil is good for babies. I was wondering if anyone knows what are some natural ways for baby care?

I use almond oil to massage my baby and for hair I use coconut oil. Also, you can use almond oil for yourself as well. Almond oil has a natural bleech agent. It gives your skin narishment and shine natural way. You don't need to use any kind of lotion after that.

In fact, a good skin care routine is a must for maintaining the glory of your beautiful skin. In this context, using homemade products is the best way to make your skin shine naturally. Diet plays an important role in maintaining the health of the skin. Diet should supply all the nutrients needed to build health, namely, protein, carbohydrates, fats, essential fatty acids and all the essential vitamins and minerals. Such a diet will consist of liberal quantities of seeds, nuts and grains, vegetables and fruits, supplemented by special protective foods like milk, vegetable oils, yogurt, honey and yeast.

Home Tips for Beautiful Skin: -

*Lime juice is an important natural aid for healthy skin.
* Never squeeze your pimples as the skin will blemish and the bacteria will spread causing more pimples. Allow the pimples to air dry and flake off.
*Take an egg yolk and mix in a few drops of lime and olive oil. Spread on the face and leave it till the skin feels dry. Wash off with ordinary water and splash on cold water.
* Don't use harsh cleansers that will rob your skin of the precious oils.
* Don't scrub your skin as this will cause the skin to over-produce oil, clogging the pores.
*Take four tablespoons each of lime juice and iced water. Saturate cotton pads in this water and place over your closed eyelids for 10 minutes.
*Apply the pulp of a tomato liberally on the face. Leave this for an hour. Then wash off with warm water. Repeat this daily. You will have a good complexion. It will also remove ugly-looking pimples in a short time.
* Avoid getting chemicals like hair gel and sprays on your skin. They clog pores and can even harm the skin.
*Blanch and grind two almonds. Mix it with white of an egg to which half teaspoon of lime juice has been added. Spread on the face and leave it on till the skin feels dry. Then, wash off first with warm water and then with cold water.
* Avoid touching your face during the day as your fingertips touch a lot of surfaces and you may transfer the dirt and grime to your face.
*Dip your fingers in fresh tangerine or orange juice. Apply it liberally over your face, chin, neck, and forehead. Make a paste from the powdered sun dried pips of unripe oranges. Use this paste on the pimples and acne at bed time.

Causes of Unhealthy skin: -

*Faulty diet: - Refined foods like white flour, sugar and products made with them, tea, coffee, and soft drinks deplete energy, bring about wrinkles, unattractive skin and premature aging.
*Inadequate cleansing: - Very often, our skin looks superficially clean; but they really are not. Dirt and dust particles can hide in the pores of the skin and clog sweat and sebaceous glands.
*Lack of healthy blood: - Healthy blood adds a glow to the skin and keeps it well-nourished, moist, and free from dryness and roughness.

How good does a hot oil treatment work?

I just bought a hot oil treatment today, I can't remember the brand though. My hair is very dry and damaged, and frizzy! So I have to do a lot to keep it looking okay. Does a hot oil treatment really work good? Like, will it restore the moisture in my hair, and leave it silky and shiny? And will it keep it that way, or the next time I wash it will it look blah again? Thanks.

Oil is a great way to moisturize your hair. You can save some $$ by using full fat mayonnaise on your hair (be liberal with it), wrap your head in a plastic bag or cling film, then wrap a warm towel around your head. This will allow the mayo to absorb and open the cuticle. You can also use a beaten egg in your shampoo. You can also do this with mashed avocado.

Most women are very conscious about the kind of hair that they have. For them, hair is the one that enhances their beauty and fashion. That's why some women are trying to make several ways to keep their hair shiny and look good if possible. Some of the common things that can be found on women's drawers are flat irons, brushes, combs and curling irons. Conditioners, shampoos, hot oil treatments, gels and sprays can be usually situated to their bathroom shelves.

Always be careful when trying a new product. Even herbal remedies can cause a reaction in certain people. You will need to talk to your physician before taking any new medications, even herbal preparations. Test the product on a small area, such as the inside of your arm, then wait 24 hours. If you do not have a reaction it should be safe to apply to your scalp. Never assume you can use a product because it is all natural.

Apart from the healthy and balanced diet, drinking loads of water also hydrates the hair follicles and prevents dull and dry hair. A good sound sleep ensures that the hair damage is repaired, so slumber is something that should not be compromised on, no matter how busy you may be. Sleeping on a satin pillowcase would be a good idea as it will prevent rubbing of hair while sleeping and will keep a check on fly away hair. In case you often use hair dryer, curling iron or straightener over your normal hair, it can take away moisture from hair, making them thin and dry. An application of a product for protection from heat is the best bet in the matter for healthy hair.

Another homemade mixture that can be used as natural hair loss remedy is a combination of castor oil, shikakai powder, powdered amla, crushed fenugreek seeds, neem paste and eggs. The result is paste that is applied to the scalp and left on for forty-five minutes; after which rinsing can be done by a mild shampoo. When this remedy is used regularly, fresh hair growth can be noticeable after a few weeks.

100 milligrams a day decreases hair-shedding in some people. Larger amounts can be toxic, especially over a prolonged time. If you prefer a hair, nail, & skin supplement, select a product which include nutrients such as beta-carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E, which protect skin, hair, and nails from free radicals. Beta-Carotene is converted in the body to Vitamin A, an essential vitamin for maintaining the health of skin and hair. Vitamin C, Zinc, and L-Cysteine support the integrity of hair, skin and nails.

Another basic recipe for hair treatments is about as easy as it gets. You just use apple cider vinegar (raw apple cider vinegar from the health store works best) and water. Ok, this is not the best smelling treatment but many people say it helps keep your hair shiny. Just wash your hair like normal and then mix ½ cup of water with ½ cup of apple cider vinegar... massage your scalp (remembering to hold your nose.. ha, ha)... and then rinse your hair with warm water to remove it.

why would a farmer select crops which have deep penetrating and and leaves with thick cuticle?

Two possible reasons.

One reason - the deeper the roots the better the chance of their finding water and avoid having to be watered frequently if at all. The thicker the leaves and/or dermis the better the plant retains moisture. Look at Aloe or other Agave. Thick leaves. They hold moisture and require less irrigation.

Another reason for growing deep rooted plants may be for erosion control. Poor soil on a hill side or slope is encouraged to stay in place instead of falling away when roots hold the soil. The Agave type of plants need soil that drains very well. Any standing water and this type of plant will probably die from rot. There are, however, any number of deep rooted plants that might be used for erosion control.

So, arid conditions, well-drained soil, deep-rooted plants and little water may be why someone would plant something like you are wondering about. More information, like your location, would be helpful.

There is a difference between thinning hair, and hair breakage. There are several things that can cause thinning hair, diet, drugs, heredity, hair styling products and hair styling techniques. When you think you have hair loss, your first step should be a microscopic hair loss analysis. Microscopic hair analysis uses proprietary polarizing microscopic analysis to identify the causes of hair loss, and thinning hair and provides active recommendations to restore hair growth and thicker, healthier hair,

Some products are designed to work for men and women. These products will invigorate blood supply, stimulate the root. A good kit will include a DHT BLOCKER,hair energizer vitamins for fast hair growth, and deep cleansing follicleanse shampoo.
For healthy hair, the hair growth obstacles must be removed by a deep cleansing shampoo(folli-cleanse) The hair blood supply must be re-established with a stimulator and circulation enhancer(follicle stimulator) and finally the hair follicle must irrigate hormones and bacteria that thin hair(enzy block)

You must choose products that are natural, no side effects, and have been tested
Develop healthy hair and scalp with effective, natural-based shampoos, conditioners, vitamins, and oils. Hair care products deep-clean while infusing vitamins, proteins, and botanicals for hair growth, body, and overall health.

Reduce thinning and hair loss, reduce dry and oily hair, treat itchy scalp and dandruff, repair damage from breakage, frizzing, coloring, chemical treatments, and overheating. Address slow growth and hair loss with the most effective follicle stimulators, hair vitamins, shampoos and conditioners. Treat the source of common hair problems for all hair styles with Nourish Hair Products!

Emu Oil Conditioner
The Healer! Awakens sleeping follicles! Helps prevent thinning hair!

Great conditioner for people with sensitive scalps. Emu Oil Conditioner Omega 3's are so important for healthy hair and emu oil is loaded with deep-penetrating Omega 3's.

Rich in Panthenol and Jojoba Oil to lightly add vital protection and heal damage. Helps repair damage from chemical treatments, bad perms, and thermal damage. Restores shine, brilliance and health.

Emu oil is known as the follicle awakener and has been used by many to help prevent the onset of gray hair. Your hair needs omegas to grow as they should. And emu oil is the only ingredient that we know that can moisturize the hair enough to get it back up to an 8.4% moisture rate as it is supposed to be. Extremely beneficial to the scalp as well.

Excellent daily restorative conditioner. Great for split ends of dry hair Helps hair to grow properly. Adds brilliance and shine moisture shampoo and extreme conditioner work wonders to get hair back to the moisture level that it should retain.

More moisture in the hair and scalp means that you can style more easily to prevent hair damage while styling. BGreat for all races including those that are searching for black and ethnic Hair Products.

Ethnic and black hair products should contain a lot of moisture and there is no better moisture that emu oil.

Does putting baby oil with aloe Vera on your hair add moisture to your hair?

Yeah my hair is very dry.. just wondrering if putting baby oil and aloe vera add moisture so my hair can look soft and silky or watever aslong its not dry...

please answer

Well by using baby oil, it makes your hair look healthier, shinier, and feel softer. but does infact do no difference to your hair.

In just ten minutes you can cut half the fat out of your best recipes while boosting nutrition- guaranteed! And you don't even have to alter the baking method OR the taste.

How would you like to be able to cut out half the fat from your favorite recipes? And what if you could do it without altering the taste or baking method?

It would be a cook's dream! And now, the solution is finally within your grasp. One simple ingredient can cut half the butter/oil/shortening from your recipes. If you can use a measuring spoon, you can unlock all the delightful health and cooking secrets of the greatest new addition to baking.

What could be so amazing, and how does it work?

Please allow me to explain the Chia Seed to you. You may have already heard of Chia, in the form of a Chia Pet. Indeed, these are the very same seeds...only these seeds are 100% natural, selected and packaged for food grade consumption. Don't dismiss these as some novelty, though! Food-grade chia is serious business for your health and cooking. Carefully selected plants produce a mixture of black and white seeds for optimized nutrition. Every tiny seed is packed with fiber, omega-3 oil, anti-oxidants, complete protein, and so much more.

So you may be saying to yourself "Sure, these sound healthy, but what does this have to do with my most delicious brownie recipe?" That's the next step, and one of the unique features of Chia. When you mix the seeds with water or any other liquid, they hydrate. This means that each seed will form a big bead of gel around the outside; which is made of whatever liquid you hydrated them in. The gel has the consistency of a gelatin snack, and is not easily removed from the seed's surface. You can actually watch the process in action with the following recipe.

Chia Gel Recipe:
1 tbsp dry Chia seeds
9 tbsp filtered water (or other liquid)
Stir together the Chia and water with a fork, to prevent clumping. Leave the mixture alone for 10-15 minutes on the counter top. When you return, the bowl or glass will not be full of water any more. Instead, you will see a thick gelatin, with the seeds suspended inside. It will slide, but not pour. You've turned 1 tablespoon of seeds into 9 tablespoons of useful gel. This is Chia Gel, and it can be used instead of butter or oil in recipes.

Chia gel is as easy to use as butter or oil. It will keep for 1 week in a covered container in the refrigerator. (if you don't cover it, it will dry up) Simply scoop the gel with a tablespoon measure, and add it to your recipes just as you would butter.

Why does it work so well?
Chia Seeds don't have any flavor of their own. Instead, they take on the taste of whatever you add them to, and distribute that flavor. In that way, they can actually amplify flavors, and make your cooking even MORE delicious! But, be sure to use filtered water when you hydrate the seeds, or any unsavory flavors in your tap-water will be magnified. The healthy omega-3 oils and soluble fiber gelling action go to work moistening and enhancing the tastes in your recipe.

For example:
If "Grandma's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies" recipe calls for 8 tablespoons of butter, use 4 tablespoons of butter and 4 tablespoons of chia gel. Bake the cookies just as you normally would.

Are there any side effects?
No, there are only side-benefits! The exterior of the Chia seed holds on to moisture, ensuring your baked goods don't dry out while cooking, and stay moist and rich-tasting for longer. These seeds also have high levels of anti-oxidants. Anti-oxidants are more than good for your body, they're nature's healthy preservative. They are what allows the seed to be dry-stored safely for over 2 years, without ever going rancid, or decreasing in effectiveness. Don't try that with flax or millet, they'll go rancid as the oils inside spoil! It's these same anti-oxidants that keep food baked with chia fresh for longer periods.

B-vitamins in my banana bread?
It's not as far-fetched as you'd think. Baked goods like muffins, cookies and breads are usually considered for dessert...and they're not considered to be loaded with nutrition. While Chia seeds can't turn your pancakes into the nutritional equivalent of broccoli, they can add extra nutrition to the things you already like to eat. You don't even have to cook with them, you can just sprinkle them onto any food that's 'wet' enough so that the seeds don't just bounce right off. What exactly do you add to foods when you add chia?
Anti-oxidants- for heart health and to combat inflammation
A full range of b-vitamins- necessary for energy
23% complete protein- to build strong bodies, and keep your energy up
6 times more calcium by weight than milk- for healthy bones in children & adults
Boron- a trace mineral your body needs to effectively absorb calcium
Soluble & Insoluble fiber- reduce the risk of colon cancer, and help clean up the intestines to avoid problems like diverticulitis

No ordinary baked good can pack in all of the above, but when you start using chia, you'll be able to add all that in, on top of cutting out half the fat. It's time to take your home-made foods to the next level with Chia Seeds. You can easily use them in your own recipes, or use easily available Chia Seed Recipes online too! You and your family deserve the best nutrition and the best flavor, and you can get it right now with MySeeds Chia!

Underarm deodorant, toothpaste and Shaving cream on planes?

I plan to fly and take only carry-on - I want to take bare essentials like small travel size toothpaste, Underarm deodorant (like Mennan Speed Stick) , small travel shaving cream and a small tube of cream for skin condition? These are not liquids - are they allowed?

It's amazing how many retarded answers come from people who like hearing themselves type!!!

First, the ban is on liquid or GELS, so all those things you mentioned are affected by the ban (unless the deoderant is a solid stick). YES chapstick, lipstick etc. are considered gels.

Secondly, with those items listed, you CAN bring them onboard, so long as each is 3oz or less, and are put into a single quart (sandwich size) ziplock bag.

Your cream for your skin condition, is it prescription? If so, that is exempt from the 3oz+baggie rule, as long as there's an Rx label on it. If not, see below.

You can bring up "essential" non-Rx liquids/gels on board, if they are in containers less than 4oz. Included on this list is contact solution, saline, and KY jelly (it's even listed on the TSA website). They do not have to go into the baggie.

May be whatever hair type you have or whatever styling you do with it, nothing is complete or can look if your hair isn't healthy. And for a better healthy and steady growing hair it is essential to follow some good hair care regimen and take more care about your hair. Only then it is possible to better shiny smooth hair. And to prevent hair loss, hair fall, dandruff or premature graying or splitting of hair a proper hair care regimen is essentially important.

For any good hair care regimen it is essential to have a regular shampoo at least on every alternate days. Use a mild shampoo with no alcohol that won't dry out the hair. Better to apply the shampoo on scalp and roots. The ends of the hair would automatically cleanse while rinsing. Moreover after each shampoo never forget to use a conditioner or a cream rinse every time after shampooing. Conditioners soften the hair and add nutrients to it and make it more shiny and smooth. Cream rinse also makes the hair shiny and smooth along with providing a light conditioning and detangles the hair. For drying always try to dry it as naturally as possible and avoid blow-drying. Use a wide toothed comb to gently detangle the hair. And if still it becomes essential to blow-dry the hair because of time shortage, then hold the dryer at least six inches away from the head to minimize the heat damage.

Oil massage to the hair helps a lot for the better health of the hair and the scalp. It increases the blood flow to the scalp and the hair follicles beneath it. It sooths the nerves and also helps in stress relaxation. It is also helpful for increasing the blood circulation and processing natural oils. If you are having oily hair it is better not use too much oil for massaging, as there is already enough natural oil in the scalp. For best oil massage use coconut oil medicated with Bringaraja, Neela, Amalaki, Haritaki, Vibhitaki, Brahmi Neem etc. The oil should be always lukewarm as it enables the oil to enter the pores of the follicles easily. Massage throughout the scalp with your fingertips in a circulation motion. Also it should be kept in mind to avoid vigorous massaging after oiling as this can cause weak and brittle hair to fall.

Our hair tends to become grey with the passing of time. Before graying the hair tends to grow dry and coarse. Therefore be sure to use moisturizing and protein conditioners. Instead of using artificial colors try to dye your hair naturally. Natural dyes like is much helpful for dying the hair. Moreover it is a form of vegetable dye and is more suitable for Asian hair than blonde hair. But still there are a lot of methods by which you can make henna dye suitable for any kind of hair.

Besides all these there is also another thing that should be given particular attention for the better health and growth of the hair. And that is the proper diet chart. It is much essential to maintain a proper and perfectly balanced diet chart. The hair along with outer care also needs to be fed properly. The lack of any vitamin, protein or minerals can cause a good deal of harm to the health and shine of the hair. Therefore it is essential to keep an eye so that proper nutrition can be supplied to the hair in adequate amount.
