How do you get tinted moisturizer to stay in place?

A while ago I got tired of wearing cakey foundation and switched to tinted moisturizer. It looks great when I'm at home but once I look in the car mirror it is horrible and I want to scream. It looks orange and cakey and blotchy. I have the lightest shade of Covergirl tinted moisturizer but it is still way orange because I'm SO pale. I also use loose powder. How else can I make it stay on?

The orangeness isn't necessarily because you're so pale - I'm rather pale as well, and I've found that any of Covergirl's foundation products - whether it's summer or winter - are going to look orange in natural light, no matter what. I'd first suggest switching to a different brand.

After that, if you're still having problems with it looking cakey and blotchy once you've found something that doesn't make you look orangey, I'd suggest trying a foundation primer under your tinted moisturizer, like the one made by Smashbox. Primers do wonders for making your makeup stay put all day long.

Hope this helps!

Edit: Also, you may just want to try powder foundation, since you said your reason for switching was the cakeyness. I recently started using Everyday Minerals foundation, and it's amazing compared to the liquids I've used all my life. You can get any amount of coverage you like, depending upon how you apply it, and it still feels like you're wearing nothing.

If you want to have professional beautiful makeup, one of the most important things to do is to care for your skin prior to applying any product. Ensure your skin is clean, acne and spots are taken care of, and that you are always using sunscreen infused products to ensure your skin remains protected. Next, look for quality products. Any makeup you apply to your skin should be as all natural as possible. Look for products midrange in price rather than low end or top of the line in pricing.

Steps For Beautiful Skin

Once you have accomplished those steps, it is time to move into the application tips that will help you have amazing quality skin.

The biggest tip for professional looking makeup is to always use natural colors and applications so as to create real beauty. A makeup-based beauty is easy to see through, but when you use makeup to create a natural look, this is nothing less than astonishing.

What are good mascara removal products?

I currently use Mary Kay Extra Emollient Cleansing Cream.
It's an older product that Mary Kay would like to get rid of but it works well.
It removes even waterproof mascara quickly with little pressure or rubbing.
It leaves the skin in the eye area moisturized and protected.
It doesn't blur vision like oily products do.

Unfortunately, it's expensive and requires contacting the Mary Kay rep which isn't always convenient.

So...do you know of any relatively inexpensive products that work well in removing mascara?

I like Neutrogena eye makeup remover, its cheap and works well

This starts with a good face wash. A foaming face wash is an excellent choice. It is made just for the face and will help retain the skin's moisture. Regular bar soap is not a good idea because it can dry out the face's delicate skin.

Body care matters in healthy of a human and it may be of hands, nails, eye and arms care. Your mind rules to your body so try to use fresh food that maintains your body. Always try to use research-proven, simple tips for keeping your body healthy, slim, well and trim.

These chemicals include hormones, preservatives, pesticides, artificial fertilizers and antibiotics - the list is extensive. Many of these chemicals enter our bodies from the foods that we eat, particularly if that food has been mass-produced.

Many types of non-organic skin care products contain parabens, alcohols, fragrances, and mineral oils that irritate your skin and can lead to serious health issues. An organic natural body care product with all natural ingredients will only produce negative side effects for you if you are allergic to any of the natural ingredients used.

If you know what to look for, several of these ingredients can add to the effectiveness of a body care product, more so than chemically filled ones that you find on the drug store shelf.

The survey conducted has also shown consumers are willing to pay extra for organic natural body care product; meaning higher profit margin for these manufacturers. The actual quality of the products will normally be compromised due to dishonest management, pressure from shareholders to cut corners and improve profitability, poor manufacturing processes and the use of substandard raw ingredients.

Olivem 800 is a unique olive oil extract that is formulated to deeply hydrate your skin in order to rejuvenate and hydrate it. Of all natural plant oils, olive oil is the most compatible with human skin. It is an essential ingredient in any body care product because it is a highly effective emollient.

Though a few more requirements have been put in place around food there are fewer rules around body care products but that is starting to change. The thing to know is, you have to read the ingredient list.

Organic body care has been practiced by humans since ancient times. All natural substances have wonderful healing properties when applied topically to the skin. But not all natural ingredients are created equal.

Some of these substances have amazing anti-aging benefits for the skin. And since they are very similar to your skin's natural oils, they are accepted very well and are very unlikely to cause any negative reactions or side effects like many synthetic ingredients can.

It may surprise you to know that some of these products actually contain some harmful ingredients. Most of them are not effective because, they do not contain the necessary active ingredients in the right proportion- the truth is that most manufacturers do this for economic purpose because the ingredients are expensive.

What color eye shadow would look good with brown eyes and blue eyes?

My friend has brown eyes and I have blue. We would like to know what color eye shadow would look nice.

almay has a pretty cool eye shadow product out. where depending on your eye color , they pick out three shades that will bring out your eye color best. you can buy it at pretty much any big retail store (target, walgreens, walmart) it will tell you where to put each color in the product to best highlight your eye color! check it out!

Angelina Jolie has the kind of beauty that knows no bounds. Everything about her, from her jet-black hair and famously full lips to her tomboyish and tattooed style seems to celebrate extremes. If you love her brazen beauty as much as we do then follow these simple steps from celebrity makeup artist and creative consultant for Club Monaco Cosmetics Denise Markey to make this look your own. Angelina Jolie always wears very light, natural eye shadow shades. Some of the colors that you may want to consider using include light shades of gray, pink, brown and green. Keep in mind that Angelina Jolie never overdoes it with the eye shadow. It is always kept below the eyelid crease, with the heaviest amount of eye shadow applied to the outward corners of the eyes. Calling Angelina Jolie "beautiful" is something of an understatement. With her gorgeous long hair and pouty lips, it's no wonder Brad Pitt fell hard. Take a look at her many different hairstyles over the years and you'll know why she's one of the most striking celebrity moms of the moment.
Angelina Jolie Makeup Tips:
STEP 1 A big part of this look is the clean, classic shape of Angelina's eyebrows. So before you apply any makeup, use your tweezers to shape and clean up your eyebrows.
STEP 2 Use a concealer brush to apply a cream concealer under the eye and on the eyelid. Using your fingertips, blend well using a tapping motion. Apply foundation only where needed to even out redness or conceal any imperfections. To apply the foundation use your fingers and the same tapping motion you used to apply the concealer. If your skin is in good shape, you can skip the foundation.
STEP 3 Dab a makeup sponge into loose powder and use it to lightly pat the t-zone and the area around the eyes to control shine and set the concealer. A sponge actually gives a finer application than a powder puff. This will help prevent the powder from settling into fine lines and creating a "crepey" look. This is a good technique for mature skin.
STEP 4 Make Your Lips Look Plump Like Angelina Jolie's If you have a thin upper or lower lip that you would like to look slightly fuller. Using lip liner that is the color of your lips or the color of your lipstick, gently outlines the outside of your lips just beyond their natural border. If you use a lip liner that is the color of your lip stick, be sure that you continue to reapply your lip stick as it fades. Lip liner generally lasts longer than lip stick. Lip gloss does wonders in making lips look plump and vivacious. The glossier the gloss, the fuller your lips will appear. Therefore, be sure to add a layer of lip gloss on top of every coat of Chap Stick or lip stick when you want your lips to look especially large. However, keep in mind that you should only apply lip gloss to the center third of your lips and avoid the corners.
Remember, to look like Angelina Jolie, makeup tricks to keep in mind include:

I am a user of the Mary Kay Time Wise Face Wash and Lotion. Personally I haven't seen any results to rant about. Im just finishing up the set I bought. If anything it dries my skin out and causes me irritation. Try Aveeno.

Anyone used the Clinique Acne System thing that you see now in all the magazines?

i ordered it from Sephora. I have pretty mild acne and I have sensitive skin. I also have some blackheads on my nose. I have been trying to get facials more often. If you tried this please let me know how it works and how long it took you to get results? Thanks.

my sister used it and it worked out really well for her. her skin cleared up and she saw a reduction in the redness of it. i'm not sure if she had a problem with blackheads but i'm sure that it could help clear those up. hope that helped!

Bad Girls ... Join the autumn makeup look gothic góticoEste becomes almost a strict uniform get to captivate even the most classic. A fad that instead of invading our closets just comes also as a proposal for beauty that has been advocated by several international designers.

In purple, chocolate brown and black, mostly black. So luciremos our face if we follow the trends in this aesthetic. There are many designers who have shown us this picture in the purest style of Ansel Adams, a very aggressive girls meant to "bad" who dare yet. Very smoky eyes and striped impossible cheekbones and a white complexion, are the keys to make the total look more "sinister" in the winter.

Among firms that have posted stronger for this bold makeup highlights Yves Saint Laurent, who not only paints the eyes but who dares to color the lips with carmine color coal. Estee Lauder and Clinique are venturing more shades of purple and pallid makeup that they demonstrate that icy image is intended. Maybelline is launching a special lipstick for this season and Velvet Crush, a basic convenient to carry in your handbag. Other brands like Bobbi Browm give us the option to purchase the palette limited edition dark shadows, a practical set containing the tones required to achieve this look autumnal.

One proposal that mixes Gothic and punk and promises to lower the walkway to invade our streets with all addicted to gothic makeup and exaggerated trends. Do you dare.

# Pay attention to the eyebrows. They must be carefully shaved, very neat and perfectly filled with a liner for eyebrows
# Use a dark eye shadow. Try dark green tones, burgundy, purple and deep blue tones. Then apply a dark shadow using an angled brush over the eyelid moving downward. Do not forget to apply it on the outside corner and the inside of the eye. Apply the dark shadow in the lower lid, blending it with the one applied on top to create a flow from the bottom up.
# Profiles up and down with a black eyeliner. No need to blur the lines.
# Apply black mascara on upper and lower lashes.
# Using a lipstick in a dark tone that combines a pencil, draw the outline of the lips correcting any defect in the shape of the lip. Need to do this because the color is dark and accentuate any irregularities in the shape of the lip. Use a lip brush to fill with a bar.

Help with dry, sensitive, inflammed skin.?

I have extremely dry skin, and ever since i've been trying to fix it,(i'm talking about my face for the most part) it has been getting more inflammed. I use a gentle cleanser like cetaphil, and pile on the moisturizer. The cetaphil creme makes my skin inflammed, and it seems to me any kind of moisturizer with SPF in it makes me break out. Yes, I have ecezema and sensitive skin. I heard of a scrub that i've been making the past couple of days with olive oil and sugar, and used that the past two days, but not today.

I just went to my dematologist on friday, but it seems like everytime i turn around my skin is just getting worse.
Can anyone give me any suggestion on moisturizers, cleansers, and anything that will help soothe inflammed skin?

Have a look at just a couple of the ingredients in your so called gentle cleanser. It's absolutely nothing but water and synthetic chemicals! And is probably making your skin worse!

I use a natural cold process soap to wash, plain old extra virgin olive oil to moisturize my entire body and shae butter on my face and extra dry areas (heels and elbows)

Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Stearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben.

Propylene glycol is a highly controversial chemical. What's the truth about propylene glycol? We've gathered some facts from reputable sources so that you can read scientific data instead of a manufacturer's hype and make an educated decision about whether you really want to rub this chemical into your body. First, you should know that the US government's Environmental Protection Agency has stated that "This substance/agent (propylene glycol) has not undergone a complete evaluation and determination under US EPA's IRIS program for evidence of human carcinogenic potential."

Propylene glycol is used in antifreeze and de-icing solutions. It is used as a solvent in the paint and plastics industries, and to make polyester compounds. It is used as a substitute for ethylene glycol mono-alkyl ethers in all-purpose cleaners, coatings, inks, nail polish, lacquers, latex paints, and adhesives. It is also used to create artificial smoke or fog used in fire-fighting training and in theatrical productions.

"Typical preservatives used in the cosmetic industry include methyl paraben, ethyl paraben and propyl paraben and their derivatives. They disable enzyme activity in the bacterial wall to prevent fungal contamination. This action continues when the product is on the skin and may be absorbed into the skin tissue, taken up by the blood stream and ultimately reside in the major organs. The preservative action is so stable, it continues to work while inside the body, limiting the normal enzyme activity of the body.

'How do we know this? Autopsies performed on cancerous tumours have shown residues of methyl-, ethyl- and propyl parabens. "

Women don't want makeup that simply distracts the eye from their flaws, they want make up that helps to achieve a look as though they were without flaws. "The whole philosophy of Becca is about creating a natural, flawless look. It's really about skin looking amazing - everything else is secondary," says Founder Rebecca Morrice Williams, a former makeup artist herself.

While there's absolutely nothing wrong with going without makeup – in fact, some women look better without it – not all of us are blessed with perfect skin. Makeup is our saving grace. It's a way for women to appear as better versions of themselves, to add a little bit of space to your daily look.

Whether you prefer an all natural look that almost appears makeup free, or you're all about piling on the glitz and the glam, makeup is a fun and easy way, as well as a non-committal way, to look your best when you step out the door.

Recent reports state that women's makeup usage has declined by five percent since 2008, but 88 percent of women still using makeup are using makeup that's good for their skin – like Becca Cosmetics. According to these reports, the top products are moisturizing and SPF products, which come in at 54 and 51 percent, respectively, while oil-free and anti-aging products came in next.

Most women, however, will admit that they're still using the same amount of makeup as they always have – it's hard for ladies to cut down the number of compacts and palettes in their cosmetics bags and their purses! If you're one of those ladies having trouble cutting down, consider the cosmetics below – they'll help you ease away from such a heavy routine while making sure that you accomplish the basics and put your best face forward.

The first thing any good makeup user knows to start with is a primer. Primer is one of the most under-respected products in our society. Many women apply makeup, but only the professionals seem to know that any good-looking face starts with a great primer. Becca primer allows your makeup to become water-resistant, something that makeup can't do on its own. It feels clean and weightless on your skin, and contains a 100% mineral active ingredient (micronized Zinc Oxide, which is 100% natural) that is a natural UV barrier.

It also contains SPF 30 to help protect your face from the sun. which helps to prevent aging. It's an oil-free formulation and suits even sensitive skin types. The primer also contains vitamin A and vitamin E as well as green tea, white tea and various oils to help soothe skin and help makeup stay put. The point to primer is to help your makeup adhere to your skin and stay on longer, but it also serves to fill in the lines on your face so that when your makeup does go on, it goes on smoothly.

Next, add concealer to the bumps, bruises, pimples and red sports that still need some coverage. Becca offers a set of three coverage options – concealer, stick foundation and a multi-use brush. Concealer offers two levels of coverage (medium and extra) in one compact and has the ability to cover both broad areas of the face (say, if you're hiding rosacea) and areas requiring spot coverage, like pimples or under eye circles. The stick foundation has a soft, creamy texture that offers a controllable level of sheer to medium coverage, and contains SPF to protect against the sun. The foundation helps to increase collagen renewal and holds moisture in the skin.

After you've compelted that first layer, it's time for highlighting and blush. Becca's Beach Tint duo offers two cheek and lip tints (often referred to as stains). They come in Watermelon and Peach; one is more of an orange shade while the other is on the pink side. They contain the anti-oxidant vitamin E and are preservative and paraben free. Put a pea sized amount of your color of choice on your fingertip and smudge into your cheeks and lips too, if desired. This will give you a natural rosy glow. Stains are great products because they're two in one – you can use them not just on lips but on cheeks as well, and vice versa!

The final step comes with the lips – whether you like to go bold or natural is up to you, but highlighting the lips is imperative - it's as important as swiping on a bit of mascara or at the very least, curling your eyelashes. Becca Cosmetic's three piece natural nudes lip collection is perfect for the woman who wants to highlight her lips but still look natural. It includes a nude nougat-colored (peach toned) liner that is two sided offering dual shades in one pencil.

It creates the appearance of fuller lips on the lighter side, and the darker side provides an outline. Then add the brand's sheer lip color, which is scented like vanilla and caramel – delicious! It's paraben free and simply enhances your natural tones, making your lips look healthy, moist and full. It's also infused with shea butter, cocoa butter and honey. Last, there's the glossy lip tint, which offers a long-lasting shine in the perfect beige shade that's flattering on all skin tones.

Voila! You've now achieved a perfectly natural face – putting your best face forward is easy.
