What Time Of Day To Use Moisturizer?

Is it better to be used first thing in the morning? Then it won't interfere with sun lotion?! Or I use it before going to bed? Then skin won't have a time to breathe! Shouldn't the skin get a time cleaned with nothing on it to be able to breathe?!
And I've really got to use moisturizer cuz I've got such a dry skin...!
Help please!
How much time should it be between using moisturizer&sun lotion?

Ideally, you should be moisturizing your skin twice a day.

In the morning, you need to use a moisturizer that has an SPF of at least 15. Using a sunscreen EVERY SINGLE DAY is the best thing you can do for your skin! You'll prevent a lot of premature aging if you do this.

At night, after cleansing your skin, you should apply a night cream. This is especially important if you have dry skin. Your night cream should be a little thicker than what you would use during the day. You don't have to spend a fortune - just find a cream that works well for you and doesn't make you breakout, if that's a problem for you (it is for me!)

Your skin doesn't really need time to "breathe", although if you use makeup during the day, it's really important to clean that stuff off - never go to bed with makeup on your face! Going barefaced during the day means leaving your skin exposed to the elements - not a good idea for dry skin (especially in the winter). Nighttime is your skin's time to rest and repair itself - it's most receptive to the benefits a good night cream has to offer.

Hope this helps.

Just Because Your Skin is Oily, Doesn't Mean it's Not Sensitive! If you have oily skin you've probably tried many different moisturizers looking for the treatment that keeps the oil at bay but doesn't make your skin feel like a cracked desert. Many expensive products are on the market but several of the most effective contain rather harsh substances like alpha hydroxyl acid (sometimes derived from fruits and sometimes not). But these powerful acids make your skin too sensitive for other types of facial treatments (such as waxing). How Clean is Too Clean - The Paradox of Skin Care Any skin professional will tell you that you must keep your skin cleansed. Then, in the same breath, they will warn you off of too much cleansing especially with harsh soaps or rough cleansers. You have to keep your skin clean otherwise the oil traps dirt and bacteria, creating conditions for potential blackheads and even cystic acne. But too much cleansing can strip all the good oils from your face and create dry flakiness. What's the answer?

Manuka Naturals Skin Creams - Manuka Honey & All Natural Moisturizers With natural skin creams using Manuka Honey your skin gets a double benefit in one product: the anti-microbial effect of certified Manuka Honey, which keeps your skin "clean" without drying soaps; as well as the soothing moisturizing of 100% natural, non-tacky skin creams rich with protein, vitamins and minerals. Now available in the US here's a recent testimonial from a woman with an oily T-zone who is using Active Manuka Honey Cream: I started to use the Manuka cream on my face at night. It's nice and non-oily. I have a very oily T-zone. It's not heavy and my skin looks great in the morning. Smoother and baby-like, plump but not bloated. I used it all up but then found your website to order more. I recommend the cream to my friends and family and now I have a website to refer them to! Melissa T., Santa Clara, CA Three Skin Creams for Three Different Uses Manuka Naturals offers three products with different levels of the most active Manuka Honey (certified at UMF 15+).

You'll find the right product for your needs among these three: Manuka Honey & Lavender Cream with 7.5% Active UMF® 15+ with rich emollients like lavender oil, almond milk and calendula oil makes this an excellent day moisturizer. Manuka Magic contains 10% Active UMF® 15+ and plantain extract, carrot oil, and chickweed extract. Completely scentless, this is a slightly creamier product and is excellent for day or night use. Active Manuka Honey Cream with 30% Active UMF® 15+ also has apricot kernel oil, sesame oil, and rose water in its formulation. All of our creams use wheat-germ derived tocopherol (vitamin E). And Manuka honey is an active antioxidant, absorbing free radicals which cause skin damage. Honey's therapeutic properties have been known for centuries. However, in the last ten years, honey from bees visiting the Manuka bush in New Zealand has been shown to contain an additional, unique antimicrobial component (methylglyoxal) that hastens relief while nourishing and soothing damaged or sensitive skin. About Manuka Naturals Skincare - Manuka Honey Skincare combines UMF15+ Active Manuka Honey with These products nourish and soothe sensitive skin and have been shown effective for burns, rashes, wounds, acne, eczema, shingles and other types of dermatitis and skin inflammations; the FDA has even approved a wound treatment using Manuka Honey. Our products have no fragrance added and are not tested on animals.

Does Olay Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30, Sensitive Skin stop dry skin from flaking?

Today I was at Sephora and they asked me if I used moisturizer or not. I don't and I guess that's the reason why my skin flakes. My friend suggested using that product, but has anyone with dry and oily skin used it? The skin around my mouth and some of my cheeks have started to flake lately. But, my forehead, nose/around my nose, and chin are oily. So would this cause my skin to be more oily? Also what exactly does exfoliating your skin do? The only product I use now is Clean and Clear Acne Cleanser which sort of works for reducing any acne. Then I just put on my foundation and under eye brightener which both sort of starts to flake after a couple of hours

You do realise that not using a moisturiser makes your skin more oily, as cleansing it everytime strips your skin of it's natural oil, causing it to keep regenerating oil in order to try protect your skin. I suggest you to give the moisturiser a try. Your skin shouldn't get more oily. Exfoliating gets rid of the dead skin on your skin, and leaves it nice and smooth. With oily skin, you can exfoliate up to 3 times a week, but do not do it everyday as your skin may get damaged.

I use Olay Complete Daily Moisturiser for Sensitive skin, but with SPF 15. I've never had any problems with it. My skin has dry and oily parts, and it is also really sensitive, so the moisturiser really helps.

Have you ever wondered which are truly the best anti aging wrinkle lotions on the market?

Of the most expensive on our shelves Dr OZ argues are Neutrogena and Olay, but does this necessarily mean they are the best?

What sets them apart from the rest and are there cheaper brands which are still as effective?

One of the biggest myths Dr OZ states is that whether or not they are the best anti aging wrinkle cream for your skin:

"Creams don't pack the complete punch".

The wool is often pulled over our eyes in the cosmetics industry where we see brands by there 1000's claiming this, that and the other.

What we fail to see and which has been proven by age old diets are that longevity and replenished skin are down to the health of our insides, or more importantly our arteries.

Home to two of the largest populations of centenarians are Okinawa and Sardinia. Here, as it was discovered in the 1990's, they both share a similar ingredient in their diet.

Found in the local Knot weed in Japan, a root used for medicinal and dietary purposes and also found in the Muscadine grape in Sardinia is a particular Polyphenol extremely high in anti-oxidants.

Part of the staple diet of both these communities, this fungi which grows naturally to help protect the plant from bacteria, if - consumed on a daily basis, doctors have confirmed acts as a natural artery cleanser.

Known as Resveratrol, Dr OZ Resveratrol reviews argue that having the ability to scrub ones arteries is crucial for maintaining longevity and replenishing the skin as any diet high in certain natural anti-oxidants, will automatically cleanse and ripen the skin.

America and the west have some of the worst related artery fatality statistics and it's of no secret why. What some doctors say is the staple diet for many women and men across North America and the west is a diet dependent on fast foods which is incredibly damaging to ones arteries.

Such constant abuse of packing our arteries with manufactured toxins is the sure fire way, doctors agree, for an early exit.

So reports that there is now a natural artery cleanser to help cleanse the artery of toxins consumed each day as well as an additional skin product which will naturally revitalize and tighten the face is what scientists agree to be, probably the best longevity and anti aging wrinkle advice, and this is welcome news to many.

I need help finding the best moisturizer for my face!?

I am using olay for dry skin and it's not working for me. I've tried dove, didn't work very well. I also still have the clinique dram. diff. lotion and gel but that didn't get rid of my dry skin last winter. I have very dry skin in the winter. I was thinking of trying lancome bienfait or clinique moisture surge and i'm willing to pay as long as it's worth it. Something that i can find at walmart would be great too. Please help. Thanks!!!

I've used Aveeno daily moisture...it worked really nicely, and it helped with my red, chapped skin on my face (my skin gets extremely dry and irritated in the winter). Maybe it will work for you. I bought some at Wal-Mart, so I know they sell it there. Good luck!

At what age should you start using a night moisturizer and eye cream?

I'm 18

everyone should use a night moisturizer. you should cleanse, tone, and moisturizer twice a day with no exceptions. starting a regimen when you see wrinkles means that you are acting too late.... it's better to prevent them.

however, an eye cream is a personal preference. i have dark circles under my eyes, so it was important to me to keep that area hydrates. i started when i was 19 or so. if i didn't have dark circles, i would have started around 25 since they are so expensive

When it comes to buying gifts for babies people often get confused and end up buying toys. Toys are undoubtedly a good choice because toys are kids' all time favorite. However there are various other gift items that can equally fascinate babies. In fact there are different kinds of gifts that are very useful for the babies. If the gift receiver is a new born you can buy gift packages that include baby soap, shampoo, powder, cream, lotion, oil etc. Buying clothes for the baby is also a good idea. Since the babies grow very fast any number of clothes they have are growing to fall short.

If you are not satisfied with a single gift item you can also opt for baby gift baskets. They are just lovely and ideal for any occasion be it birthday or baby shower. It is quite interesting that baby gifts are not necessarily meant for babies. You can also give it to the expecting parents to make them feel special. An expected parent will be surely happy to receive such a gift item that will always remind them of the little one.

A baby gift basket is usually full of various attractive and useful things. Some of the common items of the gift basket include baby sleeping bags, baby blankets, soft toys, musical toys, baby hats, baby pillows and many more. Many baby gift baskets are also consist of necessary items like teething toys, pacifiers, changing pads, baby night clothes and baby wipes.

The size of the baby gift basket varies according to the items it contains. You can choose big baskets as well as small baskets as per your budget. Gift items are designed in special ways to suit the needs of the new born babies or grown up babies. For people who really wish something practical and meaningful baby gift baskets are the ideal gift.

There are gift baskets available with natural baby products. These baskets are really very useful. These baskets include baby gift products like organic soap, shampoo, lotion, diaper powder, teething chews, fragrance-free moisturizer, pure organic essential oils and many more.

Can i put milk cream (malai ) on the face as a night cream and anti ageing remedy?

I am just trying to turn natural and want to use beauty products available at home? I want to know if the cream or malai we get from milk is a good to use as a night cream for a 33 yr old with normal skin?

Malai is good. In the morning wash the malai and massage with aloevera raw gel for 15 to 20 mts to make your face fresh and young.

Summary

The skin is the largest organ of the body and yet most of us don't do enough to maintain our skin's health. Most of us spend millions on body products every month, but are they buying the right ones? How much do you really know about what your skin needs, what type of skin you have, what kind of soaps and lotions are the best for your skin?

SKIN TYPES AND ITS CARE

Beautiful skin =loads of compliments=heads turning around!!!!!

Every individual has his/her own skin type. It depends on genetic, environmental and hereditary factors. Diet plays and important role. Occupation affects the type of skin too. For example a journalist who stays outdoors most of the time have to face the harsh sun and hence would require more of sun screen based moisturizer and a good cleanser.

Similarly a person sitting in an air-conditioned office may develop dry skin as cool air causes depletion of moisture from the skin thus making it tight and stretched. In this case a good creamy moisturizer and a cold cream at night is a must to maintain the glow.

SKIN TYPES

It is important to find your own skin type so that you can select the right products to be used on your skin.

There are four categories of skin: Normal skin, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin (dry and oily) and "T-Zone".

SKIN CARE RECOMMENDED: Use a face scrub, which will remove any dead cells developed, then use a mild face wash to maintain the oil and water balance. A toner should be used followed by a mild moisturizer, which includes UVA/UVB sunscreen and antioxidant protection.

Skin Care Recommended: It needs a good moisturizer in the daytime and a good night cream as well. Night cream is very important as the skin is relaxed and rejuvenates faster than in daytime.

Oily Skin: This type of skin is greasy and prone to pimples, black heads, and white heads as it gathers dry dirt from the surrounding environment. Sebaceous glands secrete more sebum than required hence making the skin oily. This skin looks younger when you get old as it retains the moisture which otherwise gets depleted with age.

SKIN CARE RECOMMENDED: Oily skin requires thorough cleansing very regularly to remove the dirt, which stick to the oily surface. Use a gentle foam face wash that removes excess dirt. Next step is to use an astringent and then a very light moisturizer. At night wash your face again with an astringent followed by minimum quantity of light moisturizer.

Combination for dry and oily skin type with a "T-Zone": As the name suggests this type of skin is a combination of dry patches and oily patches. Forehead, chin and nose are oily whereas the rest of the area feels dry. Oily patches develop black heads, white heads and spots.

SKIN CARE RECOMMENDED: Use a strong astringent on oily areas. Use a mild moisturizer concentrating more on dry patches. At night apply moisturizer on dry areas.

Sensitive Skin: Sensitive skin feels irritable, scratchy, itchy and forms redness when exposed to harsh environmental conditions like temperature above 28 degree Celsius or temperature below 10degree Celsius.

SKIN CARE RECOMMENDED: Avoid using soaps or face wash. Stay away from strong chemical products as they might cause irritation. Wash your face with plenty of fresh water. Use a mild, unperfumed moisturizer, a sunscreen lotion and a good cold cream at night.

Freckles

Freckles are brown spots on face especially on nose and cheeks which common in individuals with fair complexion. They might be as small as a pinhead or slightly bigger. They can be round or flat. Melanocytes are cells located in the lowest layer of our skin called epidermis. Melanocytes produce pigment called melanin, which is secreted when skin gets exposed to sun to protect the skin from ultra violet rays. Uneven distribution of melanin causes its excessive secretion in some patches resulting in formation of brown spots known as freckles. They might get reduced when exposed to cold weather but increase when skin gets exposed to high temperature. As a result in some cases freckles may fade away completely in winters and gradually return in summers. Freckles also fade away with age. Tanning causes rapid increase in production of melanin thus causing increased number of freckles around cheeks and on nose.

MYTH: FRECKLES ARE CANCEROUS

No, freckles are NOT cancerous. They are just a form of pigmentation due to over production of melanin in the skin. Most of the times it is difficult to distinguish between freckles and brown spots. Visit a dermatologist before going in for any kind of treatment to know whether the appeared pigmentation are freckles or brown spots. Brown spots can be pre cancerous or cancerous.

Treatments suggested for freckles: Laser Treatment can be opted for as the freckles melanin pigment absorbs the rays of laser light easily thus fading away slowly.

Sun Screen – As exposure to the sun is the prime reason behind the occurrence of freckles, it gets mandatory to wear a strong sunscreen lotion to avoid the ultra violet rays from penetrating into the epidermal layer of the skin.

Cryosurgery: Though this method is not very often used for removal of freckles but in some cases individuals have been seen opting for this surgery. Liquid nitrogen is applied on the affected areas with a pray gun or a cotton tip. But sometimes it causes appearance of permanent white spots due to long and direct contact with nitrogen.

Bleaching creams: Bleaching creams can be used to minimize freckles on the skin. Problem related with the use of bleaching creams is that it bleaches the entire skin thus resulting in same colour difference between the pigmented skin and normal skin. Retin-A is recommended to minimize the occurrence of freckles as it tends to normalize the pigmentation.

How do you get tinted moisturizer to stay in place?

A while ago I got tired of wearing cakey foundation and switched to tinted moisturizer. It looks great when I'm at home but once I look in the car mirror it is horrible and I want to scream. It looks orange and cakey and blotchy. I have the lightest shade of Covergirl tinted moisturizer but it is still way orange because I'm SO pale. I also use loose powder. How else can I make it stay on?

The orangeness isn't necessarily because you're so pale - I'm rather pale as well, and I've found that any of Covergirl's foundation products - whether it's summer or winter - are going to look orange in natural light, no matter what. I'd first suggest switching to a different brand.

After that, if you're still having problems with it looking cakey and blotchy once you've found something that doesn't make you look orangey, I'd suggest trying a foundation primer under your tinted moisturizer, like the one made by Smashbox. Primers do wonders for making your makeup stay put all day long.

Hope this helps!

Edit: Also, you may just want to try powder foundation, since you said your reason for switching was the cakeyness. I recently started using Everyday Minerals foundation, and it's amazing compared to the liquids I've used all my life. You can get any amount of coverage you like, depending upon how you apply it, and it still feels like you're wearing nothing.

If you want to have professional beautiful makeup, one of the most important things to do is to care for your skin prior to applying any product. Ensure your skin is clean, acne and spots are taken care of, and that you are always using sunscreen infused products to ensure your skin remains protected. Next, look for quality products. Any makeup you apply to your skin should be as all natural as possible. Look for products midrange in price rather than low end or top of the line in pricing.

Steps For Beautiful Skin

Once you have accomplished those steps, it is time to move into the application tips that will help you have amazing quality skin.

The biggest tip for professional looking makeup is to always use natural colors and applications so as to create real beauty. A makeup-based beauty is easy to see through, but when you use makeup to create a natural look, this is nothing less than astonishing.

2. Benefit Get Even Concealer
3. Clinique Supermoisture Foundation (just a light coverage)
4. Lancome Skin Perfecting Pressed Powder (powdered foundation to set the liquid foundation)

Post a picture of it or we'll never be able to tell you. Otherwise, this is all you need:
-Bare Minerals all over in a shade near enough to your skin that it looks natural (go a little darker for a sun kissed look)
-Eye make-up in your desired fashion
-Nude lips are great during the day and provide a great contrast when you color them for your evening look.

Oh and occasionally a quality concealer (green based, to cover red) for bad days.

What is a good oil free moisturizer to use while I am pregnant?

I have suffered from mild acne all of my life and before I was pregnant was on an antibiotic which cleared me right up. Now, obviously not taking anything-my acne is tremendously flared. My doctor put me on a safe topical cream which dries my skin. I need a really good moisturizer that is oil free and that will not create worse breakouts. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

My dermatologist told me to use Cetaphyl products. You can get them at CVS....they were actually made for dermatologists offices but are also available to the public. I am very happy with the face wash and the oil free mousturizer. Here is a link so you can see what the packaging looks like. They are usually kept on the bottom shelves and hard to spot.

http://www.mycetaphil.com/

In a world where we fight with stress on a daily basis, it is only natural that we feel the need to relax and there is no better way than a massage to do that. When receiving or giving a massage, it is essential to look for information about the massage oil that will be used and there are many different options out there to choose from. Massage oils come in all scents, colors, uses and prices and there are many factors that will help you determine which one is right for you. Moroccan oil is famous for its beauty attributes and medicinal properties, providing a top health product to people worldwide.

Traditional massage oil was created only for the purpose of a therapeutic massage, while other oils are used in order to peak and enhance excitement between partners. Plants contain the essential substances for a healthy life and skin, being the main source of oils. Massage oil enables us to recreate our connection with nature and plants and, at the same time, to take care of our skin. These oils, when used properly, will definitely improve your life quality, helping you to relax, relieving stress and tensions, relaxing muscles, improving your sleep and enabling you to reach emotional and hormonal balance.

Massage oil differs greatly from plant to plant, having various healing properties; for this reason, it is important to know what these properties are in order to make an informed decision when choosing your oil. Because there are plenty of massage oils available on the market, it is essential to be familiar with the characteristics of each of them if you want to be happy with your purchase. Massage oil is not a luxury, but a necessity which offers us only benefits and which can be purchased at a reasonable price either online or from a local store.

Moroccan oil is one of the most popular massage oils around the globe, being renowned for the amazing properties it has. This oil has been successfully used by Moroccans as a hair and skin care product for centuries and recently it seems to have changed the beauty industry. Although Moroccan Oil was the national Miracle Oil, with production techniques kept secret and passed from generation to generation, nowadays, luckily for us, it has become an international trademark, becoming the trend in skin and hair care products, due to its numerous benefits.

Moroccan oil can be purchased in online stores and it can be rarely found in professional hair salons. In spite of its popularity and high demand, the distribution of the Moroccan oil is still limited, due to the fact that it is a product of superior quality usually acquired by upscale clientele. Besides being greatly beneficial for hair, Moroccan oil is also a skin moisturizer, hydrating and smoothing skin instantly. The best thing about this product is its absorbency speed, whether it is applied on skin or hair and the best way of convincing yourselves of its benefits is by trying it. Massage oil is exactly what you need after a long, tiring work day and we all deserve to pamper ourselves at least once in a while!

To conclude, nothing compares to receiving a massage and the only thing that can make this experience even more pleasant is the use of a Massage oil. It is our pleasure to be able to offer you the famous Moroccan oil which has amazing properties not only for hair but also for skin.

Can you wear Stila cosmetic's sheer color tinted moisturizer SPF 30 oil free to the beach?

I would like to know if you can wear this at the beach without it getting washed off like a regular foundation.

Even if you're wearing waterproof sunscreen, you still have to reapply every few hours. There are several kinds of self-tanning sunscreens available at the drugstore; maybe try one of those instead.

If you have been out and about today or even staying at home by the end of the day chances are your face is covered in dirt and grime from environmental pollutants. If you are one of those types that simply wipes down your face at the end of the day, then you are not doing you skin any justice. Your skin works hard all day fighting off free radicals and deserves proper skin cleansing. Additionally proper cleansing will refresh and rejuvenate your complexion.

Proper cleansing comes from selecting the right product for your skin type. Furthermore the best cleanser, no matter what skin type you have, is those that do not strip away the natural fatty oils which protect and waterproof the skin. Over drying the skin with harsh cleansers leaves the skin vulnerable to excessive dryness and leaves the skin exposed to bacteria and cellular damage.

To begin pull your hair away from your face then wash your hands, this prevents bacterial and dirt from transferring from your hands onto your face. Apply your cleansing product at the forehead then gently sweep the cleanser over the face, and continue to massage into the face, lips and neck area. Massage the cleanser into your skin in a gentle circular motion, paying special attention to the thin skin under the eyes. Avoid the upper eye area; many cleansers are not formulated to be used on the eye area. Thoroughly rinse your face with cool or tepid water (not to hot or to cold). Extreme hot or cold water can cause flushing and break sensitive capillaries in the skin. Hot water will open the pores and expose these pores to environmental pollution and dirt. After cleansing, pat dry and follow with toner to restore pH balance and any traces of cleanser. Apply toner on a cotton ball or pad and gently wipe over your face starting with cheeks, chin, nose and ending with your forehead. After toning, follow with a SPF moisturizer for daytime wear and a hydrating lotion for nighttime wear. Gently smooth your moisturizer over your face and neck area to protect and hydrate your skin.

For an added bonus for your complexion, consider an exfoliate to slough off dead skin cells, promote new skin cell growth and improve circulation. Depending on your skin type and the type of exfoliate I recommend no more than one per week. A simple exfoliate is to just add a bit of cornmeal to your regular cleansing cream. Other alternatives are sea salts, Epsom salts, or sugar. Sea salt is a natural for normal skin. It contains marine extracts and minerals that help revitalize the skin. Sugar is a gentle exfoliate ideal for sensitive skin since the grains have smoother edges than salt grains.

Another spa treatment that is so beneficial to the skin is facial masks. Again, depending on your skin type, no more than once a week is recommended. Natural ingredients such as papaya, avocado or honey also make great facial masks.
