I NEED to lose 10lbs! PLEASE HELP*?

I'm a 12 year old girl. I weigh about 95lbs, and I'm 5'2. I obviously know i'm not fat. But i want to be super skinny. i hate my body. every time i look in the mirror i hate myself. sometimes i even say i want to become anorexic! This is my sched. for my food...

Breakfast: Either, Special K cereal with a banana and with skim milk. Or honey nut Cheerios with a banana and skim milk. Rarely oatmeal; i don't care for it.

Lunch: 80cal yogurt, water, a nutri gran bar, and sometimes grapes. But on weekends, I eat special k cereal with a banana.

Dinner: Special k cereal or honey nut cheerios with a banana

but i also run cross-country after school. And im still not losing weight?!? what the hell!

*by the way, I know im barley getting any protein! And im feeling very weak and exhausted... what can i do to make me feel more hyped and with much more energy? cause i run cross-country and im very weak, weaker then ive ever been!

thank you all! please help!

What's the question here? Are you asking if it's healthy, becuase I think you already know it isn't. If you're asking why your not losing weight it's cos below 1200 calories your body goes into starvation mode and clings to all your fat so you don't lose weight.
By the way, Special K isn't good for you. Too much sugar and salt.

Copyright 2006 Donovan Baldwin

A week or so ago, I was in the check-out line at the supermarket and saw a blurb on the cover of a magazine. The headline read: "Breakthrough! FAT LOSS VITAMIN!", and the text beneath it said, "95% of us don't get enough. Safely boost your intake and:

*Lose 5 lbs a week!

*Burn 30% more fat every day!

The magazine was Woman's World.

Being in the business of health, fitness, diet and weight loss, this claim intrigued me so I threw a copy of the magazine in the buggy, and read the article when I got home.

Very briefly, here's what the article had to say: Most people don't get enough Vitamin C, and Vitamin C can help your body burn more fat.

Now, this was interesting, and since I believe most people don't get the nutrients they need, I was willing to go along with the idea of increasing your normal intake of Vitamin C, either by increasing the amount of things such as orange juice, which is good for you anyway and it contains a lot of Vitamin C, or by use of Vitamin C supplements.

The information in the article made sense, and, when I did a little independent online investigation, I found that apparently the article was reasonably accurate. I don't have a particular problem with the information in this article, and agree that increasing Vitamin C could help someone lose weight.

This brings us to the slightly exaggerated title of this article.

Everyday, it seems we are bombarded with all these claims about weight loss, fat loss, diets and health. One person says their pill will deal with cortisol, which is the cause of weight gain. Another says their diet will "melt" the fat. Someone else wants to hypnotize you, and that will do the trick. The covers of many other magazines at the checkout on the day I bought my magazine had different tips, hints, diets, and weight loss solutions.

All these people can't be telling the truth, can they?

Is weight gain the result of cortisol, poor diet, lack of exercise, not enough Vitamin C, lack of sleep, stress, too much beer, or just bad genes?

Actually, the answer to both questions is, "Yes...sort of..."

The actual biological process by which people get fat is known. The solution is also known, and it doesn't have much to do with Vitamin C, cortisol, genes, or a lot of other things...directly.

A runner who wishes to run faster gets there by training at running and trying to run faster. However, that runner can also strengthen his or her legs by using weight training. They can improve their performance, or perhaps reach their goal faster, by eating a certain type of diet...maybe even making changes in that diet at different points of their training or competition schedule. If stress is inhibiting their performance, learning to meditate might help them put that stress behind them or at least relieve it enough so that their times improve. If their home life or work schedule is such that it interferes with their training, rest, or nutrition schedules, then making a change in those areas may improve their athletic performance.

Even so, the main thing in their running training is...running! Everything else just helps with the speed of development or the amount of progress that is ultimately made.

The same thing applies to most weight loss situations and so-called solutions. Increasing physical activity and eating reasonably are the two major things that bring about healthy, permanent weight loss. If, in your exercise program, you choose to supplement with Vitamin C, or get more sleep, or take something which reduces the effects of cortisol, or quit your job because it interferes with your weight loss program, then you will probably enhance the results. You will lose more weight over time, lose the weight a bit faster, or just find the whole process easier. However, the major portion of the weight loss (and improved health and enjoyment of life), comes from the basics of exercise and nutrition.

So what about the people who DID lose weight by breathing properly, or taking Vitamin C, or adding Chocolate to their diet?

People are all different, and so are the facts and factors of their lifestyles, education, upbringing, and genetic makeup. Someone who is one dress size bigger than she wants to be may get all the weight loss she needs from increasing HER Vitamin C intake. That does NOT mean that every woman will experience the SAME results. Another woman may need to lose a lot more than one dress size, and taking Vitamin C, while it might help her shed a few pounds and be more healthy overall, will probably NOT produce anywhere near the total results she hopes to achieve. If, however, she IS doing the right things to bring about weight loss, adding the Vitamin C may speed the process a bit and help get her to her goal a little faster,

Just as in the title of this article, the key word in all these claims is "help" whether it is stated or merely implied. True healthy, permanent weight loss will be the result of a combination of activity and nutrition. All the other things, which may certainly be of value, are just helping.

Sally Beauty Supply it has EVERYTHING! (they sell it online as well)

What is not to like about honey! It is great on toast, in tea, and offers so many benefits when used in skin care products.

Honey is not anything new; it has been around for thousands of years! Honey has been and still is used in food products and in medicine. Honey is now emerging into the cosmetics industry which is really not new either. Honey has been used by women in the early days of the Roman Empire as facial masks, honey and milk baths, etc.

Honey is comprised of 98% sugar and 2% enzymes, vitamins and minerals. These vitamins and minerals would include vitamin C, a variety of B vitamins such as niacin, riboflavin, and pantothenic acid, and the mineral potassium. It is also rich in amino acids. This combination of natural ingredients offers a multitude of benefits when used in skin care products.

Properties of Honey:

Natural humectants - which makes it a superb moisturizing ingredient. Honey has the ability to bind moisture to the skin to help it stay hydrated. Additionally, it will smooth out rough, dry and wrinkled skin.

A natural antioxidant - which fights off free radical damage. Antioxidants are used in skin care products to fight free radicals and reverse the signs of aging.

Ant-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties - Honey also possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. These properties are beneficial for those with problems skin such as mild acne. Research has shown honey has shown to manage acne by attacking the bacteria which is causing the outbreaks. Because of its potent antibacterial properties, hospitals in Asia and Europe have used honey infused bandages to help heal infected wounds successfully

Below are some simple skin care recipes to enjoy the many benefits of honey. Although honey tends to be well tolerated by most skin types, a patch test is always recommended.

Easy Cleansing Scrub
Mix honey with ground almonds and scrub on face. Note: if allergic to nuts this would not be recommended. Try cornmeal instead.

Purifying Scrub

Mix 1 tbsp. of honey with 2 tbsp. finely ground almonds and 1/2 tsp. lemon juice. Massage gently onto face and rinse well with warm water. Follow with toner

Firming Facial mask
Whisk a tablespoon of honey together with an egg white, 1 teaspoon of glycerin and about 1/4 cup of flour. Smooth on the face, leave on 15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.

Moisturizing pack
Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 teaspoons of whole milk, smooth over the face and throat, and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, and finish by splashing with cold water.

Moisturizing lotion
for dry patches such as elbows, mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, then apply. Wash off after 15 minutes.

I had really bad acne and as soon as i used the orange essence facial cleanser, the apricot and willobark deep pore scrub and then an exfoliator my skin improved loads. Burts bees is amazing end of. I have loads of other products from burts bees like body washes and hair stuff and lotions.

I recommend this product line, it's amazing and worth the money and because it's all natural it isnt harsh on your skin like soaps and detergents which dries out your skin, producing more oil in order toa hydrate your face.

Does not self-torture for blessings-gain, offend the Almighty and present Him sadly sadistic?

I have observed in many places of worship, the devotees inflicting grave injuries on their God-gifted bodies to please Him and thus gain His blessings. The most surprising thing is that it has the sanction of the society and spirituality as a whole. The penance includes rolling over long distance, piercing the tongue and the cheek and beating the chest. Hysterical seizures are also observed in front of the Deity. One can understand it, if these practices are confined to illiterates. Even the highly literate, rich and men of eminence practice it to the dismay of the enlightened. The party-steered political atheists too are no exceptions; they do it stealthily. Is it not the duty of the Heads of Religions to stop this practice through strict orders prohibiting it? The Government cannot ban this practice as religions are involved. But it can definitely start a campaign of enlightenment against this barbaric practice of self-physical and mental violation. Can't it?

Where the hell do you go to church at???

Low sexual desire in men is a consequence of reduced blood circulation, low testosterone levels and increased stress levels.

Not only this, there are some other features also that are related to your lifestyle and can take a toll on your sexual desire. For instance, excessive smoking, drinking alcohol, use of recreational medications etc., can influence can affects testosterone production and lower blood flow as well.

On the other hand, it is promising to increase sexual desire as expected.

Include zinc in your diet. It is the most important mineral as far as testosterone production in your body is concerned and zinc deficiency can lead to low testosterone levels. Oysters, animal protein, dairy and poultry are good examples of foods that are rich in zinc.

Include Essential Fats in Your Diet- Not all fat is bad. Your body needs necessary fats like Omega 3 for the manufacture of hormones like Testosterone. Good sources take in olives, olive oil, oily fish, nuts and beans etc.

Workout Regularly. Weight bearing exercises are the most excellent way to boost testosterone in your body naturally. Some exercises that are known to create best outcome comprise squats, bench presses, dead lifts, military presses etc., and Exercise not only helps amplify testosterone but also boosts blood flow and reduces stress.

Reduce stress. Stress is one of the main culprits as far as emotional issues affecting sexual desire are concerned. Practice meditation or yoga to reduce stress.

Get Adequate Peaceful Sleep. Sleep is one of the most imperative factors that can decrease stress. Lack of sleep builds stress and affects testosterone making negatively.

Supplements can be an immense help. Such supplements are made with some extremely effective and time tested herbs that not only augment testosterone production and blood flow throughout the body other than also augment the secretion of nitric oxide which acts as a catalyst to augment blood circulation.

Such supplements not only boost sexual desire however also increases your energy levels and provides a complete body makeover. Not only this, such supplements can also help inspire growth hormone production in your body. This helps you fight age effects. However, it is just a few quality supplements that can make sure this.

There are some eminence supplements that are free of side effects, clinically approved and recommended by doctors.

hm.. not looking 50 at 35..? tanning beds are disgusting. You probably look like toast. Fake tan is soo much better. Not dark, just a slight glowy-browny-thing.. lol

We have heard this many times, drinks lots of water and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables to maintain good health. While this is great for keeping health from the inside/out, what about from the outside/in of our bodies?

The skin is the largest organ of the body and takes up 15 – 20% of your actual total body weight. It literally holds us together. One of the most amazing qualities of the skin is its elasticity. But, as we grow older the skin starts to loose its elasticity. It is vitally important we look after our skin through out the changes in life to maintain the skins natural elasticity. Unfortunately people give skin little consideration.

Most skin care products that are sold in stores contain an array of harsh chemicals such as propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates and petro-chemicals just to name a few. Someone set me up on a blind date... and it's my first date ever. HELP!!!?

Hey everyone,
I'm already 20 and I've never been out with a guy before. I basically don't have that many friends (their actually acquaitences) and actually all of them are girls and I've never been out with a group of friends that had guys in it too. Basically I don't have any idea how to act around guys.

The reason for my loserness is I never took care of myself, never styled my hair (i have curly frizzy hair that i always put in a bun) and wore the same things all the time... I don't know why I did this, but I guess no one ever taught me these habits of girliness. My mother also never took care of herself and I guess that was one reason too. I am not ugly, I'm actually very pretty when I pamper myself up... but it takes forever! At my high school graduation none of my classmates recognized me because i looked so different and nice on that day. I have brown curly hair and tanned skin and a feminine figure. I can look really hot if I want to... but I'm always too lazy. HELP?

rwell you need to buy a hair relaxer kit and throw it in will help with frizziness and some mouse or gel and use it. or a jilbere flat iron which will straighten even the coarsest hair in no time at all. loose the elastics and just be you, be real it is the only person you can be and any guy worth keeping around will appreciate you just as you are. you are 20 years old stop being lazy. if you flat iron your hair it will last a few days with simply a quick run through.

Nestled on the shores of Ireland, Mayo is a county of tranquility and rugged beauty. Either for a quite relaxing break or an action packed holiday, this county can please every one. It is very accessible by road, rail or by flying into Knock International Airport. The public transport system is user friendly and affordable.

Unlike some other over commercialized tourist areas in Ireland, Mayo has maintained its authentic charm and warm hospitality whilst the soft Mayo accent is enough to put anyone at ease although it does take a little getting used to!

Selection of accommodation caters for all budgets. Hostels are an average 20 euros a night. Bed and Breakfasts and Guest Houses are found in both towns and rural areas. There are also plenty of very good quality hotels and many of these are offering very good deals since the down turn in the economy although the Euro has increased in value and thereby negating some of the special offers.

An added bonus is that many hotels also have a leisure centre and spa for anyone who wants some extra pampering! Breakfast is generally included in many guest houses and there is nothing like a traditional hearty fry up to set you up for the rest of the day!

And speaking of food, many of Mayo's eateries are first class. Many restaurants serve local produce e.g. cheese, smoked salmon, organic vegetables. Fresh fish from the Atlantic is delightful and it has often been just caught that day. The options of places to eat are also impressive. Many pubs also serve freshly cooked food at lunchtimes and in the evenings. This is particular good value and very nutritious.

Leisurely walks and scenic drives are a great way to unwind, so Mayo is the place to be if that is what you may desire. There are several beaches and shorelines and just as many walking and cycle tracks to discover. For the more energetic, Croagh Patrick is a 764 metres (2510 feet) climb. On a clean day, there are breath taking views of Clew Bay and its 365 Drumlin Islands. Having completed your hike, a well deserved pint and a bite to eat can be had in one of the many traditional pubs in nearby Westport.

If its music and crack you are after, you will never be bored in the evenings. Many pubs have local Musicians, playing with no cover charge. The most renowned pub in Mayo is Matt Molloys in Westport and if you are lucky you may even get to meet Matt himself!

Mayo has a lot to offer the tourist traveler and the welcome they get here from the locals is hard to beat anywhere else in the world. The people are pleasant, humorous, gentle and kind. The climate is lovely in summer and bearable in winter if one dresses accordingly. Always remember to have an umbrella nearby as the weather is very unpredictable and in winter wear a few layers to protect yourself from the cold.

Has anyone used Hopes Relief cream for skin conditions??

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has tried or uses a product called Hopes Relief cream - generally used for eczma and psorisis (sp?). Any reviews on its effectiveness would be great and also an approximate price - Thanks : )

The best treatment in the elimination of acne is to clean the skin by some medicated cleansers.
A cleanser removes the sweat, make-up, accumulated oil and dirt on the surface of the skin.
These cleansers makes easy for the topical acne treatments to absorb in the skin and too much use of these cleansers can result into irritated dry skin. So, these acne cleansers should be applied only once and twice daily.
Vigorous washing and scrubbing the skin can make the acne worse.
source: http://www.beautytipz.blogspot.com

The most common rash of the skin is dermatitis. This is simple a swollen area of skin that may or may not change the skin color around it. It will be red and might even itch. The cause of these types of skin rashes will vary and depend on the particular rash symptoms you are suffering from and what the skin looks like. It could be something simple requiring a skin care application or a result of a more serious disease. The three most common rash types are Contact, Dandruff, and others like Eczema.

Treatment:

Natural treatments will feed the body and make it healthier as it heals. The body will be treated from the inside to relieve the problems on the outside. The skins natural balance will be restored and the digestion will improve. When the internal organs are clean and in proper running order, the body will get rid of the toxins and the buildup causing the rash will be eliminated.
Natural remedies for skin rashes do not cause the side effects of conventional medications. They simply nourish and support the skin, detoxify the body, reduce swelling, clean germs and bacteria away, and produce healthier cell function.

Here are some tips to help you:

1. Choice of clothing

Here, we are talking about materials that tend to cause irritation. Such materials include wool and synthetic ones. Cotton is a safe choice - you should plan your wardrobe based on this material.

2. Use Moisturisers

A moistureless epidermis is more prone to itchiness. You should therefore ensure moisture is maintained by firstly applying high quality moisturising lotions or creams.

3. Choice of laundry detergent and bathing soap

Common laundry detergent is known to cause irritation. As such, use mild detergent when doing your laundry and double rinse your clothes after each wash. Also, when bathing / showering,

Reoccurring itchy skin rash is one of the most annoying skin diseases existing today. The problem is that year after year more people get it and year after year medical science just don't get it!

Here's what to do when your skin flares up again:

* read the easy-to-follow instructions (see bellow)

* fix yourself a remedy using the exact proportions as suggested

* apply it to your skin

* repeat the procedure for a week or two (depending on the severity of your illness)

* go shopping for some summer clothes and hit the nearest beach

There are some traditional remedies that have been recommended for a childhood rash or toddler rash which include:

1) Oatmeal Baths:

After you have your oatmeal breakfast, make a bath for your child by putting in a cup of oatmeal. This is very soothing on the skin. It also is used by some for acne problems.

2) Calamine Lotion:

Calamine lotion is easy to find in supermarkets and drugs stores , is inexpensive and works well for rash relief. It is often used for fire ant bites as well as poison ivy.

3) Aloe Vera:

Aloe vera is used for a number of health conditions, aloe vera is anti-inflammatory and supplies vitamins. If you have an aloe plant you can cut off a piece.

How do you use tea tree oil for toenail fungus?

I was told that tea tree oil was a great way to help toenail fungus so I got some but I realized that I don't know the best way to use it. Do I need to remove any toenail polish? How long should I use it? Any help would be great. Thanks!

have to disagree with other answer.....sorry!!! You do not mix it 50/50 with a carrier (a base oil) OR Lavender (another essential oil) This is mixing apples and oranges. If you only use Tea tree oil, which is a toenail fungus treatment of the first order, then do this. put 12 drops of tea tree oil into one ounce of base/carrier and jojoba is fine but so is non food grade safflower, sunflower, grape-seed or apricot. The essential oil cannot penetrate the dead toenail. Try to cut away as much of the dead nail as you can and try put a drop or two of the BLEND under and around the nail and cover with a band-aid twice a day. Or do a foot or toe soak, like 10 drops of the blend into warm water. I have sold this to several folks and it works fine.

Throughout your daily life, you can encounter many situations that may end in a cut or two. While there are numerous synthetic medications that have been created to help heal minor cuts and abrasions, if you have sensitive skin, or are trying to live an organic life, these creams and lotions can often be less than desirable. There are natural remedies you are able to use that can heal your cuts, but without various chemicals and other unnatural ingredients. Making a natural antiseptic salve is easy and will help heal your natural body with natural ingredients.

Some of the Natural Antiseptics:

1. Lemon

Lemon has antiseptic properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function and the lymphatic, circulatory, and digestive systems. It is antibacterial and is beneficial for the skin. To sterilise the air, simply add a few drops of lemon to a spray bottle. To purify soy or rice milk, simply add two drops of lemon. Lemon can be used to treat verrucas, insect bits, and tension headaches. It can also be used for sore throats, in pruritis of the scrotum, in uterine haemmorhage after delivery, or as a lotion in sunburn.

2. Honey

Honey is a natural antiseptic and there are several studies on how honey has been used to treat wounds. Applying honey to wounds helps to prevent infections, as it contains antimicrobial agents that kill the bacteria in and around the wound. Many types of bacteria cannot survive in honey so the wound heals, swelling eases, and the tissues can regrow. Honey is also great for treating ulcers and burns. When treating diarrhea, honey promotes the rehydration of the body and more quickly clears the diarrhea and any vomiting and stomach upsets.

3. Pineapple

Pineapple is high in vitamins A, C, and B, and is rich in manganese, which is an essential part of certain enzymes that are necessary for metabolising proteins and carbohydrates. The pineapple enzyme, bromelain, is used for digesting proteins, and white it does so, it gives some effective anti-inflammatory benefits. It contains antibiotic properties and helps to enhance medical antibiotics. Pineapple is antiseptic and astringent. It reduces the acidity of urine, helps with normalising menstruation and can be used for abscesses, pneumonia, worm infestation, exhaustion, kidney infections, kidney stones, bronchitis, and digestive disorders. Pineapple also soothes sore throats.

4.Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a fantastic natural antibiotic and it contains antiseptic compounds that are a very effective skin disinfectant. Depending on the severity of the condition, it can be used at a strength of 5 to 15 percent daily. Tea tree oil has been proven to help with acne, athlete's foot, ringworm, jock itch, fungal infections of the toe or finger nails, yeast infections, wound healing, and bad breath, amongst other things.

5. Grapefruit Seed Extract

Grapefruit seed extract is both antimicrobial and antiseptic. For use as an antiseptic, make a solution of 4 to 40 drops in water and apply to affected areas two or three times a day. It can be used as a spray on larger areas.

Your skin texture depends not only on external treatments, but also on the intake. A proper nutritious intake helps in rejuvenating the skin from within.

Water plays an important role in keeping your skin alive. A good amount of water helps in retaining the moisture of your skin as well keeping skin disorders at bay. Fruits and vegetables in your daily diet release a lot of water to your system. Primrose syrup and olive oil in your diet also aids in softening your skin.

Use the paste of ground green gram powder instead of soap to work your way to a soft and supple skin.

Pamper you skin with a little coconut oil before bath to heal dryness and chaps. Use a creamy soap that renders that extra suppleness to your skin.

Moisturizers and cold creams are a must in the winters. Apply some good cold cream on your face before going to bed. Moisten your skin with a good moisturizer or a creamy hand and body lotion. My best buy is ' Jergens' hand and body lotion.Add a few drops of oil to the water that you are using to bath. This will help retain the moisture lost when bathing. Avoid using very hot water during winter as it can decrease the natural oils of your skin. Instead shorten your bath time.

Winter Skin Care Guidelines:

The low humidity common in many parts of the United States during winter can cause dry, irritated skin. When skin becomes dry and irritated, eczema can
flare. Here are some tips to help skin feel more comfortable during winter or anytime the air is dry:

1. Use a humidifier. With the heat on and the windows closed, the air inside can become very dry in the winter, making the dryness and itching of eczema even
worse. Use a humidifier to place moisture in the air. If you don't want to invest in an expensive humidifying system, smaller, relatively inexpensive
humidifiers can be obtained at a local drug store. Placing two or three of these around your home will help to humidify the dry air. This can keep skin from
drying and becoming cracked and itchy.

2.Switch to an oil-based moisturizer and moisturize frequently. The more oil a moisturizer contains the more effectively it protects against moisture loss.
Moisturizers that come in ointment form contain the most oil because an ointment, by definition, consists of 80% oil and 20% water. This water-in-oil
emulsion forms a protective layer on the skin and makes it more "moisturizing" than creams and lotions. Ointments are especially beneficial when humidity is
low. Ointments should not be used on areas of the body that tend to get hot and sweaty.

3. Before going outside in winter:

* Apply a heavy layer of moisturizing broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to the face, hands, and any other skin that may be exposed. This
will act as a barrier to help protect against the harsh elements and is especially important if you will be outside for any length of time. Sunscreen is important in winter as the sun's reflective powers are great year round - 17% on the sand and 80% on the snow. Today, several products are available that
combine oily, moisturizing cream with sunscreen. If you are unsure of which product to use, ask a dermatologist.

* Grab those gloves. Protecting hands from the cold air and low humidity plays an important role in preventing flare-ups. Make sure the gloves are made from
material that does not irritate your skin. Some patients find that wearing a cotton mitten next to the skin and a woolen mitten over the cotton one, keeps
hands warm and dry.

4. Dress in layers. The most common triggers of the scratch/itch cycle are sweating and overheating. Wearing layers allows you to remove clothing as needed to prevent overheating. Be sure to wear loose-fitting cotton fabrics next to your skin.

5. Shed wet clothes and shoes immediately. These can irritate the skin and cause a flare-up.

What is a good moisturizing body lotion for dry skin??

That is less than $20 and is sold at Target, Wal-Mart, drugstores, etc. Thank you!

:]

I would try Aquaphor or Eucerin. Both are very good at healing dry skin. Good luck!

Skin rashes often manifest themselves as dry, flaky patches that can be red, swollen and inflamed. Left untreated, skin rashes can spread and become infected. Often a result of skin disease such as dermatitis, psoriasis, or dandruff, skin rash can be treated by use of moisturizing skin care products that penetrate to deep dermal layers where rashes often begin. Skin inflammation is the sign for skin or body rashes. During rashes there is a change in the color and the texture of the affected area that is easily visible. This occurs due to some kind of irritation, disease or even due to an allergic reaction occurring as a result of certain chemical reactions, foods, leaves of plant, furs of an animal or insect bite and several other environmental factors. Rashes might target some specific areas of the body and also the whole body. Although it is not contagious still some cases are found when it has been transferred via close body contact.

What are the causes?

Lots of things can cause a body rash, including but not limited to:

* Direct exposure to specific irritants or allergens (such as poison ivy, certain chemicals, or foods)

* Acne, eczema, psoriasis and other skin disorders

* Viral, fungal, and bacterial infections

* Insect bites

* Parasite infection

* Exposure to extreme cold, dry, or hot weather conditions

* Other medical disorders such as liver disease, kidney disease, and certain types of cancer

Some rashes may itch terribly, have scales, or have a rough appearance to them. Some of these may break open and become infected. The problems causing the rash are best dealt with by natural medicine instead of synthetic medications. Skin care products containing Emu Oil have been found treat rashes effectively.

Home Remedies:

* Avocado paste is very effective as ointment for rash.

* Smear olive oil on the skin.

* Baking soda is a good remedy to stop the itch, mix some baking soda with water and apply the paste.

* Mix honey and cinnamon and put on the itching part.

* Aloe Vera is well known as a remedy from rash and other skin problems.

* Almonds oil is very good cure for rash.

* Fill up a tub with warm water and add barley. Lay down for 20-30 minutes to reduce the itch and rash.

Natural remedies for skin rashes do not cause the side effects of conventional medications. They simply nourish and support the skin, detoxify the body, reduce swelling, clean germs and bacteria away, and produce healthier cell function. Skin care products formulated with Emu Oil, Jojoba Oil or Panthenol help to reduce itchiness, reduce inflammation and promote healthy, soothing skin development.
