body butter?

what is the purpose of body butter? i was told that it is like lotion, but ment for realy rough skin like elbows and feet but i tried it on my elbows which are really rough and it didn't make the skin aoft at all. so what is the use of body butter?
along with preventing stretch marks does it also reduce them? if used daily?

i just got body butter a few weeks ago..and it is lik lotion but it makes your skin even softer after you use it for a couple days..and its not as liquid as lotion and drys faster..thats why I like it

You are working hard and sweating it out because you want to build hard muscles. You want to lose all your fats and you're thinking that you have to limit your intake of food while doing your body building exercises; combining body building and diet.

With the right weight training program, and by adopting the proper body building diets into your lifestyle, you will definitely start to see some noticeable results within a couple of months. If you're a burger and coke person, who likes to puff their way through 20 plus cigarettes a day, then you are going to need to take some drastic measures in order to make any visible progress to your physique. Folks who just do weight training and little else are not necessarily fit, they just look like superman!

There is however, such a thing as too much protein. As we age and as other complications occur, the amount of protein that our body needs and can handle everyday changes from person to person. What happens is that along with protein, you also find calories which are actually working against the protein. But you cannot just eat proteins without calories, it becomes a big catch-22.

Most modern muscilar men belive that bodybuilding is an activity that operates according to scientific principles and science is mathematically based. Bodybuilding is not an exact science and it's not healthy to look up to some guru for all your answers. Bodybuilding is the art and the science of developing your body.

It can be difficult to manage the fat even if you strictly follow the diet prescribed by your dietician or Coach. You may be worried about the extra fat in your stomach area due to which your stomach bulges outward a bit. In such a situation, Hgh can be very helpful to you.

Finally adequate roughage or fibre in the diet contributes in many ways like providing satiety in the diet, improving bowel movement and is a good source of vitamins and minerals. Apart from that it helps reduce weight too. Avoid peeling off the skin of fruits and vegtables, eating lot of green leafy vegetables are good sources of dietary fibre.

The worst fats that can be consumed are the saturated fats. Fats at room temperature that stay in solid form such as butter and animal lard are said to be saturated fats. Good fats are also called unsaturated fats. These fats have to be taken in moderate quantities. Unsaturated fats are in liquid form at room temperature.

best skin regime brand?

for oily skin for cleanser, toner and moisturiser? PLEASE choose ONLY from the following:
Clarins, Clinique, The body shop, Avon, Aveda, Bobbi brown, Crabtree & evelyn, Decleor, Dermalogica, Erno laszlo or Estee lauder

Clinique is fantastic.
I have an oily complextion as well, and it works a treat on my skin. They evern have a 3 step system with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. It's not too expensive either. Which always helps
xx*

A moisturizer provides the base for any effective skincare routine, regardless of the type of skin you may have. These creams and lotions rehydrate the complexion by locking in skin's natural moisture.

There are many types of moisturizers on the market today to treat any skin type or specific concerns. However, there is a right and a wrong way to use moisturizers. Learn the most effective way to use this important skincare product.

Choosing a Moisturizer

When you are shopping for a moisturizer, consider these factors:

* Your skin type (dry, oily, normal)

* Your specific needs (acne treatment, anti-aging, etc.)

* Your full regimen (if you don't apply a separate sunscreen, you need to find a moisturizer with an SPF)

* The ingredients in the formula (you want to avoid fragrances and artificial dyes that can irritate sensitive skin)

The best moisturizer for your needs may actually be more than one formula. You may find that the product that works best on your face won't be as effective on the delicate eye area or the rougher patches on your body. Many women choose a different moisturizer for each of these areas to get the best results from their products.

Using a Moisturizer

Apply your moisturizer to damp skin whenever possible. This allows the product to lock in the excess moisture, providing hydration to the skin for a longer period of time. Extra dry areas, such as the hands and feet, may benefit from a rich slathering of moisturizer while still damp, and then a pair of cotton socks or gloves to help the moisturizer absorb into the skin more effectively.

Clayton Shagal

One brand to consider for your moisturizing products is Clayton Shagal. This company understands the importance of hydrated skin in the overall appearance, which is why they combine deep and surface moisturizing ingredients for the most thorough treatment possible. There is a line of Clayton Shagal moisturizing products that are appropriate for any skin type and some work specifically to minimize skin breakouts or treat aging skin.

DDF Skincare

DDF understands that hydrated skin is firmer, younger-looking skin, so the products in the DDF line are designed to heal and protect skin while adding necessary moisture. The Advanced Firming Cream is one of the top products for this purpose. In addition to providing important moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, this formula also includes peptides to boost the skin's own collagen production and a Turmeric complex to protect the skin from further damage.

Dermalogica

Dermalogica provides a wide line of moisturizers to address every need and skin type. The collection includes tinted moisturizer to wear in place of foundation and a number of products with SPF to protect the skin as it hydrates. For those with aging skin, the Dermalogica Power Rich system offers hydrating ingredients in a formula also designed to increase collagen production and firm skin. These products do not contain artificial fragrance or color, so they are safe for even sensitive skin types.

Moisturizer is an important step in any skincare regimen. The right moisturizer will hydrate your skin, leaving it softer, smoother and younger looking.

And Im on a prescription of Erythromyicn and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel as well as a prescription of Doxycycline right now for my cystic acne. Please dont try to suggest cheaper options. I just want the best products and Im skeptical of drugstore products. i REALLY REALLY dont want any drugstore products. I dont really feel happy buying them. So which of these 2 moisturizers should I get? Money isn't a problem. Trust me. It isn't.
they are both oil-free. and the Hydrator is part of Perricone's Skin Clear line which is for acne-prone skin.

Yves Rocher or Nivea?

day and night antiaging cream...tnx

yves rocher it has more natural ingredients and less chemicals
jes

Retinol is touted as one of the main components needed for any good anti aging cream.

Many of the popular brands we hear about such as ROC retinol correxion deep wrinkle night cream and Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Moisture Spf 20 have retinol as the main ingredient.

So what exactly is retinol and what does it do?

Retinol is one of the forms of vitamin A. It is considered by the Food and Drug administration (FDA) as a safe enough drug for over the counter cream and/or treatment. This is therefore the form of Vitamin A that is used in many antiageing cream.

Retinol, upon application on your skin, converts to retinoic acid which is the more potent form of Vitamin A. Retinoic acid is actually the one that does all the "magic" when it comes to improving the way skin looks.

You're probably asking right now Why not just use Retinoic acid instead of using retinol which has to be converted first? And the answer is we do actually. In fact, it is the main ingredient in brands like Retin A. However, because Retinoic acid is scientifically proven to be quite strong, it is available only on prescription.

Thus, if you don't want to go that route, you'll have to do with Retinol or retinyl palmitate as the ingredient in your OTC cream.

So what does Retinol do?

In theory, retinol helps the skin in two major defining ways.

First of all, it benefits the upper layer of the skin by rejuvenating it and making it look healthy. It gives you that warm fresh glow. Secondly and most importantly, it penetrates the deeper layers and helps with the production of collagen which is very important in the overall health and structure of the skin.

These two main functions combined eventually leads to a more youthful glow, a less sagging looking skin, and diminished fine lines.

Sounds too good to be true, right? There's one problem though. A considerable number of people do not react very well to retinol. This usually means having a red swollen face after application. So if you are thinking about buying a product with this as a main ingredient, it is best to exercise caution when using it.

What you can do to minimize this effect however, is to get your skin used to it. Health professionals advise that if you're just beginning to use a retinol-based cream, you should apply it sparingly during the first few weeks or so. Also, during this trial period it is best if you don't use it every day but instead use it every 2-3 days at least. Once you don't see any dramatic redness anymore, then start using it as a daily cream.

Also be aware that because of the active ingredient, your skin becomes very sensitive to the sun. So Don't ever forget to use sunscreen. Even better, use retinol only at night. This ensures that during the most time that it's active you are not directly exposed to the sun at all.

Lastly, there are some contentions that Retinol doesn't really work so well because it has to convert to retinoic acid first. This apparently could mean that some of its potency decreases during the conversion process or that not all of the retinol converts to retinoic acid anyway, so its efficacy dramatically decreases.

This is true and could very possibly be the case especially for products that don't go through any rigid testing and packaging. So always make sure you get antiaging products that do come from a reputable company or at the very most receive a lot of great customer reviews.

I am really interested in a homemade version of the famous Biore pore strips. Right now I use various masks, peel off and clay as well as streaming and facials... but people just seem to be in love with these strips. I really don't have the money nor transportation to buy the real thing.
Does it really stretch out your pores?

I'm wondering if Erno Laszlo is really what people make it seem. I've been trying to find a skin care system to reduce the visibility of scars, and keep my acne under control. I've tried almost everything, and now i'm looking into these products. A lady at chanel could not stop ranting and raving to my mom about how AMANZING Laszlo is and how i GOT to try it. But I'm not sure if I want to spend the couple hundred dollars to get it.

Philosophy products are SOOO GOOD! I use purity by philosophy everyday to remove my make-up and it works amazing. Barely a drop gets sooo much make-up off. I can't wait to try all their products (:

What is best to Relieve eye strain and headaches when wearing Glasses?

Hi, soon I will be going for an appointment at specsavers for my annual check up. Now as lke always I have suffered from frequent headaches and eye strain. Not very nice when you are still at school and it becomes hard to concentrate.
Anyway What I want to know is what is the best option to sort of Relieve these type of symptoms. is it having tinted lenses or to have reactions. I hav no idea what these type of lenses look like but if someone could send me an image as an example that would be great.
Also is it possible for someone my age 15 to be able to get the different types of lenses? do I just have to go and ask?
Any help on this will be great and if you could tell me wheather the tinted lenses or reations are better that would be super. Oh and I also have to think of the price tinted lenses are £12 and reactions are £49 so I will have to talk to my mum about that but if anything i think it will be the tints

Thanks
Ben

Hmmm - I'm guessing you're a brit, and I don't quite understand all of your language, but I'll try
It'd be my guess that the actual lenses aren't going to make much of a difference - changing the prescription would help the most, I'd reckon. Also, if your glasses are too tight (either at the sides or at the nose, anywhere!) that can definitely cause headaches.
I think the pain behind the eyes is usually a tension headache - and the solution to that is ibuprofin! I'd figure that, more than tinted lenses, would be the solution. But I suppose the people at the eye doctor's would know better than me. Good luck!

A very close friend of mine found herself in a dilema, well spoken and knowledgable but the fact still remained she had a fear, fear of rejection. No matter how many times I would explain to her that sales is a numbers game and that your gonna have to go through the no's to get to the yes, she still would cringe at the fact of having to speak to people in order to finalize the sale.

Statistics show that 90-95% of the people who go into sales cannot handle this, and eventually leave the profession. Vivid pictures painted so perfect over the internet of glamorous lifestyles: the fancy car, the yacht, and the house on the hill. They fail or tell you later what is expected or what it will take to travel down that road to get their. Unfortunately, being rejected is a part of the scenario when your in this line of business. How you handle rejection is the key to success.

100 no's to get to one yes is what alot of gurus say has to happened in order to a sale.(typically) Successful salespeople understand that rejection is all part of the numbers game, so they don't let it get them down. They know that if, on average 99 people out of 100 are going to reject their product, then all they have to do is find 100 people in order to make a sale. The cup isn't half empty; it's half full.

Rejection is no longer to be feared, but something to be accepted as a normal part of the sales and marketing process. When you take the emotions out of the equation you come to realize that it's just another day at the office. So gear up, take the bull by the horns, and concentrate on what's really important. Staying consistent with what you do. Furthermore, I told my friend that sales is a numbers game, with far more losses than wins but if you can handle the no's when you do get that yes it will be worth your hardship.

How do you make sure a sunburn doesn't peel?

I have a terrible sunburn on my nose and cheeks and both arms. I put Olay Active Hydrating lotion on it just so it doesn't dry out. Is there anything else I can do/use to make sure it doesn't peel?

Sorry, if the sunburn is bad enough, nothing can stop the peeling....

Emu oil is made from the fat of a large bird called the Emu. These birds are native to Australia and history has it that this oil was used by the Aborigines for treatment of wounds, burns, scars, and muscle and joint paint. Today Emus are raised and harvested in the United States. They provide a rich lean meat that is fat free and low in cholesterol and a produces a remarkable skin care oil from the fat of the bird.

Emu oil is comprised of approximately 70% unsaturated fatty acids including an omega -6 and an omega-3 fatty acid. The cosmetic properties of Emu oil were studied at the University of Australia and their findings were outstanding. They found that it is a very effective moisturizer and offers skin softening and skin cell rejuvenating properties. Emu oil penetrates deep into the dermal layers of skin thus diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally it has anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory properties, which will help heal sunburn, skin rashes, eczema and other skin disorders. It is also non-comedogic, non-greasy, and hypo-allergenic.

The latest research in skin care indicates that essential fatty acids are important to achieve great skin and great hair. And that the best anti-aging formulas need to have essential fatty acids and omega-3 in their formula. This is according to Dr. Perriconne's latest best seller.

Emu oil is loaded with essential fatty acids and omega-3's. Addtionally, it has superb hydrating qualities, does not clog pores and kills bacteria. Emu oil can readily aid in diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.
